I´ve always been curious what makes women want to marry men who expect them to be virgins (other than fear of falling victim to honour killing of course). I mean, sure, if both people believe this will make their marriage work, it´s their deal, right? But women who have sex and later decide to play the virginity trick on  their future spouse put me off. Why to want to be with somebody who doesn´t want you the way you are?

Well said, women who do that are very dishonest,  so I can understand a man being angry at, and maybe even divorcing, a woman who assured him she was a virgin but wasn´t, because such a person can´t be trusted.

It works both ways, if the man assured her he hadn´t been fooling around with girls but it turned out to be a lie I think the girl has all the right to dump him for lying.

Because there are societies in which women can only stay alive if a man takes care of them. No good jobs or education are available to them. The only way they can make sure they don´t live a horrible poor live with hunger lurking around the corner, is getting married. And getting married is only done to "new" girls and not the "used" ones in those societies.
