Hi, at one of polish forums about the turkish language, somebody posted this sentence (I´ve left its´ spelling untouched)

ben ne tekinler gordum gunduz yapistirir,gece alip eve getirir

Particularly, I have a problem with word "tekinler" - I have no idea how to translate it. Here is what I´ve managed to translate so far:

What (tekinler) I saw. By day, he/she/they glue (it together), in the night he/she/they take it home.

What auspicious (things?) / deserted places I saw? He glue it by day and take it home in the night.

So I guess there is still something wrong here. Maybe it is very simple, but I really have no idea what this sentence can mean

If "tekin" is used for people here, it means "reliable/trustable".

So your translation maybe;

I have seen many reliable people, they attach it in daytime, remove it and bring it to home at night.

Thank you all, but now I´m still confused - armegon said that "tekinler" can mean "trustable people", but according to marti-86 this word can have the meaning of "people who cannot be trusted". So how it is exactly - does it mean that "tekinler" means "trustable people", but it is sometimes used in ironic way and have the opposite meaning ?

And, of course, it is still possible that "tekinler" is in fact some other word, but misspelled...

Sorry if I´m annoying with these repetitive questions, but I want to be sure what this word can mean in this sentence. I´ve already looked up in tdk dictionary, but I still don´t have a clue.

It means reliable of course otherwise Turks do not give it as a name to their childs ...

And I´m pretty sure Tekin is a Turkish male name, I have a friend named Tekin.  If that is used as a name then the translation would be..

I´ve seen many Tekins, beating...(the rest is the same)

But if you ask me, I´d say the first translation is the correct one..
