 WHY DONT YA ASK THEM? HERE IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO KNOW IT I GUESS AS THERE ARE 100S OF DIFFERENT CULTURES IN TURKEY.. IT IS UNLIKE HK! NOTE SOMEHWERE

Actually I m too lazy to think of all those you mentioned above  , especially when the present's purpose is only a polite gesture.
Of course the rules change when the present is for someone close to me

I think in Turkey, like here in Greece, people also offer money. If you have a reasonable amount to give, then put it in a nice envelope or a cozy little box, add a greeting card and your present will be ready

Ok you should buy 5 mtrs of 24 K golden necklace well if you are not rich enough then try to find "cumhuriyet altini" Look this is very important! 1 cumhuriyet altini is: 210 YTL now .. well even if you acnt buy it... then you d betetr not to go there.. neevr think of flowers or presents .. it s another world
