I was curious as a learner why ozmek is translated as to forget (unutmak), but the penny dropped (jeton düştü!!!) a while later, as you can see by my next post. 

As the receiver of the message I don´t understand why the interrogation ("I didn´t want to forget you?") as it doesn´t reffer to what we have been writing to each other before. 

Ahh, I have just realised that the word should probably be üzmek (to distress, worry upset)

So the meaning becomes ´I didn´t want to upset you´
