first of all, kahverengi is "brown" so I'd use sütlü (i.e. with milk)

then, I don't suppose any waiter would use the singular (sen) form with you. I imagine he'd rather say:

sütlü kahve ister misiniz

That's what I thought except I found the word "kahverengi" in my dictionary as being "brown coffee" so assumed that is what Turks call coffee with milk

Yes - I am sure a waiter would use siz not sen......
But this was a conversation between myself and my partner when we first woke up - sorry, I should have made that clear!

So please do tell me what kahverengi means ???

Every morning one of the first things I do (before getting out of bed!) is to look at the dictioary on my PDA and try and learn at least one new Türkçe word......this morning I found kahverengi which is translates as being brown coffee......

Is "brown coffee" not coffee with milk ???
