whoever does not have the strength to be married let them fast (fasts other than religious fasts are useless). Because that fast will enable him to master his lust and his breath

The greatest blessing ...

"Look to possess a thankful heart, a tongue that recites the names of Allah, and a saintly wife. A wife like this will help you gain a place in heaven"

 Mümin means faithful or worshipper.

In order to turn your family life into heaven...

The Muslim family life is like a corner of heaven. Everything is permissible there, everything is sweet, and everything is pleasant.

"The most mature and blessed saint, according to his faith, is the one that is most good-willing to his wife"

The most good-willing woman is the one that when her husband looks at her is (... mesrur ... sorry I don´t know this word), and when he says something she obeys his command.

Mesrur means joyful, happy. Check here: http://www.osmanlicaturkce.com/?k=mesrur&t=%40

çünku bü, gözü (haramdan) koruyan, namuslu kalmaya yardimcı olan çaredir.

Because this is the solution to protecting your eyes from the forbidden things, and helping you to be virtuous

If it helps, here haram is not any forbidden thing, but particularly a woman, and what is being talked about is something like "eye-fornication" as fornication begins with a lustful eye...

Just to be curious: are these texts from the Koran? If so, which Sura?

Here "nafile" means not "useless" it is like "extra" or "discreational" In the sentence "nafile oruç" is advised.

It is not "nefes" it is "nefs" It is one´s bodily appetites, the cravings of the flesh. You can call it "id" like Freud.

thanks ... so would we use "an extra fast" for nafile oruç?
