Yes …I think there are only a few foreign friends on this site like
MARIONINTURKEY, LADY IN RED, DELİ, SONUNDA
who want to learn turkish, and are able to be successful
in such a short time…
The others are speaking English in the TLC.

Hey - thanks for your kind words! I´m just a guy from the USA who went to Turkey during college to study abroad and fell in love with the Turkish culture and language. So I´ve spent 2+ years now studying the language, first on my own without any classes, and then later (on a second trip back) studying at the TÖMER language school in Istanbul. All throughout, the native Turks that I have met have been extremely helpful (and patient) in teaching me. But in the end, I´m still a student just like you.

Lol... February 15, 2008 (the day I arrived in Turkey) to now! So we´ll say 2.5. But it goes by fast when you spend much of it immersed in the Turkish culture.

"The others" !!!- I don´t like being referred to as ´an other´ lol how rude.
I´m sure I do a bit of both and many others do too.

I just noticed Yilgun said ´a few friends like........´ so he was just using those names as an example as we were probably the first ones that came to mind! But I had been wondering how he could possibly have not included you and also Angel_of_Death, also Mylo, Chantal and DeliKizin (who aren´t around much but who are far better at Turkish than me!)
Anyway Yilgun thanks for noticing that we are at least trying to use the site for the right reasons.
