One of my favorite songs, which I haven´t listened to for several months, has just been played on the radio.
Therefore, I wanted to share it with you and translate it.
It is an old classical Turkish song. However, it was sang by İncesaz recently. İncesaz is an awesome band, playing classical Turkish music, just for the ones who want some "rest" for their souls. I listen to them when I am mentally very tired, fed up with work and science.
Anyway, here is the song. Translation is very hard actually. I´ll try my best.
Bir çapkına yangınım Her yanı bilsen, ne hoş Neş´esine baygınım Sarhoşum sarhoş
I am madly in love with a Casanova (I just realized English has so many words for çapkın!!!)
If you knew how she/he is beautiful allover!
I am amorous to her bliss
I am drunk, drunk
Gözünde bir ışık var Peşinde bin aşık var Dudağında mey mi var Sarhoşum sarhoş
She/he has a light in her/his eyes
A thousand chasing admirers
Does she/he have wine on her lips?
I am drunk, drunk
Busesini almadan Göğsüne yaslanmadan Gözlerine bakmadan Sarhoşum sarhoş
Without getting her kiss
Without leaning on his/her chest (is it correct to say like that?)
Without looking into her eyes
I am drunk, drunk
