He is not using them together as he explained it can be when/ while... so either could be used.. when OR while

He clearly explains what he means after you asked the first question which is what you have just quoted for me above ..
I guess it means you can use when or while here. so it must be when / while
Do you enjoy picking up on peoples little faults? as you seem to jump on them in a second , when it is pretty obvious what was meant. Never made an error yourself ?
