I´m still having a hard time wrapping my mind around ki.

I understand some of the uses:

benimki - mine

bana dedi ki geç kalmışlar - he told me that they´re late (I think this is correct, but it´s off the top of my head so maybe not!)

oteldeki barda çok rakı var - there´s a lot of rakı at the bar (which is) in the hotel (same deal as above)

But sometimes I just don´t get why it´s used or what its function is in a sentence. Things like

bilmiyorum ki

öyle insanlar var ki?

...things like that. I don´t get it! Why not just say "bilmiyorum" or whatever without the ki?

Thanks in advance!

I have read where there 3 uses for Ki/kiler; as a conjunction, a pronoun, and an idiom. And that its like using the English words "who, that, which" (The cat, that is on the wall, is very old)

But I can´t tell when you´re supposed to have them be a separate participle, or when they are part of a noun, or when to use after a verb phrase.{#emotions_dlg.shy}
