Yes - of course I use http://www.turkishdictionary.net/ - it is very easy to use from this site as double clicking a word here takes you to the dictionary. Unfortunately, it fails for some letters since the format was changed 
Although, I mostly use the dictionary on my PDA which also lists all the words as you type. I tend to use that more now as I will be taking that to Türkiye with me - but I won't be taking a laptop......

I just wanted to mention that this sentence is improper. In fact it's unintelligible! You must formulate it as follows,
Tüm bunları anlamaya çalışırken, izin verirsen öncelikle senin ifadelerini doğru bir şekilde tercüme edip edemediğimi görmek istiyorum.
This is how a Turk would express this idea. You have an idea in your English sentence and that idea would be expressed as above.

I am begining to think that ever starting to learn Turkish was perhaps a mistake

Ahhh... I see... 
Yeah, my ability to decode Turkish is going to be severely limited when I start travelling and have to leave my laptop behind...

For exacly that reason, I have got a 400,000 word dictionary on my PDA
It is WinMekMak that I will miss most!
