I think it doesn't mean anything like "I wanna know" or "I wonder", it is not possible.
After thinking, I think it's just a very bad sms writing of "işteyim" (which means "I'm at work"), in bad chat language, it's written as "işteim" and I think he missed the "i" as well and it has become "iştem" and with the non turkish characters: "istem".

"istem nasıl gidiyor" is meaningless. "Nasıl gidiyor" means "How is it going"?
