Harikulade !!

TY Tunci, but I can’t understand this mecbur bırakıldı. [zorlandı]

I mean I understand that Bırak-ıldı(verb+passive+past tense)and Zorla-n-dı (verb+passive+past tense)

Is it wrong to use -mek/- mak  zorunda

Ben onunla kalmak zorundayım I am forced to stay with him

Ben oradan gitmek zorundaydım I was forced to leave from there

And how do I say “I was forced to stay in the hospital”? or "I am forced to...?"

mecbur bırakmak ---> to force to [do something] , a compound verb that is formed of an Arabic word " mecbur [ compelled]" and Turkish auxiliary verb " bırakmak ".

mecbur bırakılmak  ---> passive form of the verb [ to be forced to [do something]

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

bir şey yapmaya zorlanmak ---> to be forced to [do something] [ passive form ]

bir şey yapmayzorlamak ---> to  force someone to [do something] [active form]

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“I was forced to stay in the hospital”? or "I am forced to...?".> it is past tense

Hastanede kalmaya zorlandım. [mecbur bırakıldım]
