Please notice....In Turkish the room lights are either "closed" or "put off", while in English they are generally "Turned off"....funny ?

yes, in English the lights are "turned off" but I have heard my Turkish friends say the lights are "closed". The different phrases seem strange/funny at first, but over time I have gotten used to the differences. I have no idea yet what the story is about, but I will take the time to figure it out with much help using a dictionary. And in the end, it doesn´t matter if I like the story or whether I agree with the content or not, what matters to me is that it helps me learn and that I can comprehend what I am reading.
