Quoting janissary:

ım second type I cant read even my hand writing

Hahahahah!! Hmm well mine is fine enough to read, and sometimes I'm so horribly organised that I write as clear as possible, use a lot of arrows (->) for conclusions etc and use a highlighter for terms Unfortunately these moments are rare, but they are there!!

you are very lucky you dont need to read all book like me most of women have nice hand writing. they sit in front anfd take notes all the time. Even they note whatever teacher said. one time I took a note from a friend she had written " good morning friends, you dont need to write this, silince please,....etc"

I just made some calculations and I came to the conclusion that if I spend my money carefully in Türkiye, that 5 years of living and going to University in Türkiye, is the same price as studying 4 years in Holland wíth a scholarship of about €3000,- a year

Despite the fact in Holland I would also have a parttime job and be able to contribute to the costs, which I can't in Türkiye.. I think when I tell t his my parents, it's good news!

How difficult/easy/trustworthy is it to loan money in Türkiye from a bank?

IS there any e-Books available @ the Universities?

I do think it's easier that way. Students can download in computers and select the subjects, pages, etc. From there, students can submit their homework to teachers. This of course... would be control by Logins & passwords so that students don't abuse the facilities or illegal copying.

This format also, will help students lessen the burden of fees. Hmm, of course, the varsities will have to get more computers if these method is to implement. I think Education Ministries should consider to reduce taxation rates for students or families who owns computers... Like in my country...

At times i wonder why educational materials are expensive... IT should be cheaper for students within the institutions.. but of course...again, these will be abused.

Anyway, it's just my suggestions...

I think that educational system on the pc will become normal in the world within years.. in Holland they are experimenting with it and my school has gone pretty electronic already as well too. You can choose your own schedule of lessons within certain rules and you do this by loggin in at home, giving your name and your 'code' and then you can electronically pick lessons for the next week.

About books going on the pc.. I for myself find that very annoying. I study way better from a book than from information on the screen. Ofcourse I could print the papers that will be sent to the pc.. but in the end I will have more personal costs than when I 'borrow' books from a schoolsystem.. in which you wouldn't have to buy al the books new..

Of course, holding any literature in hands is better compared to computers! We can't take computers to bed (except laptops-wonderful in winter for warmth) or going anywhere... Also, as I experienced before when certain books in need, they tend to 'borrow' by others before me That could take weeks or even months before I could have it in my hands! The scenario turned even worst during examination months! Some faculties, has limited literatures on 'loan' to support hundreds of students. So, it's either photocopy the whole book, buy used books (which sometimes come with missing pages), buy new or enter the latest technology-paperless...

Then, depends also how the personal cost incurs - example:-maybe some reduction of photocopy price schedule by the photocopy shops? The more you photocopy, the cheaper the rates. This at least save cost to buying a new book.

Well, is kind of headache when comes trying to cut corners in education... anyway, just another opinion...

Hmm.. maybe I should reconsider going to Uni in Holland, and join Deli_Kizin in Turkey It sounds all really cheap to me!

Is there any way you can order " http://www.bupress.com/ToolBoxVA/Tools/Mds/Scripts/Books/Book.asp?ID=1520 " These books when you're not studying at the uni? It's only 12 YTL.. that's sooooo cheap!

OK..one Question..

Is the degree recognise in EU or other countries?

Some of my friends - 5 of them actually had the problem of their degrees not recognised by their own country and certain firms they wanted to work in... I asked them why they didn't checked out first??? They said they did and that the courses are the same as provided in their local Us and other Unis abroad...
I think they had to resit some exams back home in order to find jobs locally. I asked them why not they work in the country where they took their degree... Anyway, I don't know what went wrong...

Any advise? I'd been planning to continue my study...
