The more I read the translation forum, the more I realise the advantages of having a boyfriend who speaks no English and you speak no Turkish.  Imagine the advantages!!

"No askim I can´t understand what you´re saying, now just finish the washing the dishes and shut up".

"Sorry I can´t explain to you why I´m going out with the girls tonight until Tunci comes online to translate it for me".

"Do I like your new haircut?  Sorry I can´t reply"

"It´s MY turn to cook the dinner?  Sorry I can´t understand you"

Have decided to find myself a dudu

Let me disappoint you: you wont find one. NEVER! for the reasons below.

*What kinda dudu will want you? {#emotions_dlg.you_crazy}

*You already speak a bit of Turkish.

*Your brain is not damaged, yet.

*Tunci and others will not translate for you.

Yes the lovely MarionInTurkey would help me and maybe Scalpel......but maybe Tunci would help?

The following needs to be added to Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code:-

Disagreeing with any Turkish citizen on any subject is also illegal.  If a Turk says he likes sugar in his coffee, you must also say you like sugar in your coffee, even if you don´t lol

MODIFY:  Actually that is unfair to Turks, who rarely complain and enjoy a good argument.  I should amend this to the STUMPY/BYDAND RULE

See you in a year or so when I shall be back for my annual discussion on the meaning of irony with my good friend Stumpy
