Welcome to the website!
First of all I'd like to say that you really have to work hard if you want to learn a language perfectly! But there are quite a few good examples on this website of people who've learned the language!
I was also trying very hard to learn the language, and I will go on learning very soon hopefully, but basically what I'm doing is watching TRT Int. It's a Turkish TV programme, which is available here in Holland (And I think in a lot of other countries as well!).
Another thing that is indeed very useful, is to read everything on the 'learn turkish -> grammar' pages! It is al really clearly explained, and if you don't understand something, it's easy to refer back to it!
There are some things you should be careful with though!
You can listen to music, and get the text in front of you, but ónly if you want to listen to how people pronounce certain words.. What I know from English songs, is that they're sometimes using really bad sentences.. and I wouldn't be surprised if that's happening in Turkish songs as well!
A 3rd thing you could do is going to the TC chat on this website, and meet other Turkish people, on which you can try your knowledge! You can just start by saying 'Günaydin' or something, but that will help you in learning the basics by heart!
