Haha! they look really cool!
And I was just wondering about the bananas, is that why they look so different in Turkey from the one's we've got in Holland? Somehow they look a bit.. you know.. dirty or something.. I've never dared to eat them in Turkey

CYRANO!!!!!!!!!

Fruit and vegetables in Turkey look uglier because they are natural! It's true - they are grown in the sun and do not have to conform to stupid EU standards. They are natural and taste much better - even if they dont look so pretty !

Its the same with bananas, they never taste the same in England as sun-ripened bananas

But bananas don't need sun to ripen. You can pick them green and with heat because of the chemicals inside, they ripen.

Maybe, you talk about Anamur Banana, that's a special small banana species of Türkiye. It's my favourite as well.

Bananas, tomatos etc dont NEED the sun to ripen, but if they are ripened in the sun they taste 100% better. Bananas which have been ripened in the sun are sweeter and have thinner skins. You can NEVER buy them like that in the UK.

Did you see the news? A house in London bought a banana tree and this year it has grown bananas! Global warming!
