I have received so much help on this site with translations. What are the pros/cons of posting photos?

It would make interactions much nicer, but has anyone had any problems?

I think it's nice to be able to post photo's, but sometimes you have these forums where people are actually talking by posting pictures, and I think that's really annoying..

It might be nice though to have a forum where you can share your most beautiful pics.. but you have to be careful then that they're not too big..

Off.. maybe it's just too difficult to make clear rules for the pics

Yes you are right but I feel like she meant the personal pictures as she ask whether or not others had any problems. As you know there are almost none pictures posted in forums.

If you mean personal pix in your profile..

Then I think that they are good as they show other members what you look like and you can then feel as though you know them better, which ultimately makes TC a more homely place..

But then there are the members who just email you saying,

"You are sexy.. Can I have you msn?"


Thats the bad part of course

yeah, that's right, and you have people who don't use a real photo but just a random picture.. I think that's really annoying, especially the moving ones.. :-/

I would like to post a picture of Omer and I , as so many have helped and regularly share feeback about our relationship. I am leery/ scared , of posting a real picture- I have never posted my photo online.

I was asking if anyone had difficulty with posting real photo- (i.e. harassment).

Of course I would ask Omer before I posted his picture.

- You won't get bogged down with emails requesting for you to send them your pic, if you already have it posted.
- I think it's more personal to read forums or chat with people who's pictures are posted.

Con's
- Your face could get plastered at a naughty website, restroom etc..

Once we had a learner's meeting in London. There were two other members of this website among those who joined at the time. Its not that I'm hiding or something but I don't like the Internet in some ways. I'm just a middle aged ordinary looking man, thats all.

I agree that "members" of TC should post their real photographs. Afterall, we come in almost everyday, sometimes few times a day. We will want to know who we are talking to.

As for Erdinç , I think it's his choice whether he shows himself or not, we can't force him to upload his personal pics although, to be honest , I'd like to know what he looks like because he's such a nice person who ALWAYS helps us and we owe him a lot but generally speaking, I agree with the pics if they are your "real ones" .
