Well, as much as I hate to defend Pamela Anderson (!) I suppose if we calculated the percentage of money that each of us spend on "unnecessary" or "non essential" things throughout the year, we are as guilty as she is! Do we stop buying these things and give the money to charity? No!

I give exactly £25 per month of my salary to charity. This is NOTHING compared to what I spend on "luxury" and "unnecessary" items.

Food for thought?? !

That's wonderful, but you missed my point. I am sure you spend FAR MORE than $39 on non-essential items for yourself and family a month?

Pamela Anderson probably gives money to charity too. What I am saying is that, percentage-wise, we are probably all as bad as her!

Hey girls!
Why is that so disgusting? If she has the money, then she can use it however she likes.
If I remember her well, she was gorgeous! A bit short but so what? She had other...qualifications. And what if she looks bad in 5 years? She ll double the amount and she ll be looking gorgeous again, while we will be all green of our envy.

I agree with aenigma. We are not any better. We are only poorer. If i earn 1500 euros a month and spend half of them on clothes, furniture and any other silly stuff, why shouldn't she spend this amount on makeup or wherever she likes?

Don't start the story about people starving in the 3rd world. We all know that, but we all close our eyes and enjoy our new bought outfit and our expensive perfume

Actually it's a long time ago that I bought an expensive perfume or a new outfit. Of course, I am saving up for Türkiye, so in the end that might be the same. But I learnt from the past year in which I worked for my money and didn't spend it the way I used to.
I had a big addiction for books and jewelry. Each time I was in town, I would buy new earrings or check the bookshop. I wonder if either I'm 'filled up' with all my jewelry, or if I really changed my attitude and just don't buy because it's not necessary. I do think it's the last one, as I always tell myself that it looks gorgeous but that I don't need it

There is a point in what Della and Sophie say, but I still think it's shocking that someone can spend so much on such shallow things.

As the textile-industry of Türkiye is very big and well-developed, one will be sent your way as soon as I set up my business there.. in approximately one month time
