My love, just like yours, suffers. You did not come but I am full of hope...I am also fearful you might be with a lover. You cannot be! It is impossible! But the thoughts, cruel thoughts, they’re rushing through my mind and make me angry. I am so jealous, like no one else on earth! I’ll slap you on the face and proudly walk away, never turning back… You are here! My love, my joy, my life! - by Unknown author (wonder if he/she was Turkish)

I don't know, TrueorFalls, but to me it sounds like something a person of any cultural descent would feel about their loved one especially the one who is not exactly commeted. I think love causes the same feelings in turks, russians, americans, chinese etc. Whoever wrote this seams like he or she was just describing their feelings in a moment of despare.

Today I introduced myself
To my own feelings.
In silent
agony,
After all these years
they spoke to me...
After all these years...

I am not sure of the origin of the author of the piece you posted but it is very unique. Thank you for sharing.
I agree that love from any cultural background does not matter. It is the individual and how they view love. What it means to them is what gives it consistency in their life.
I love the old clichés about "it is better to have love and lost than never to have loved before." Whether this is true or not is all up to the individual. (Just my thought )

Oh good luck to you Milisa, I read your story and NO, don't let that psycho make you lose faith in love and existence of great man out there, who can give you the love you dream of. It IS out there, although it's not easy to find, just like any other great thing in life, right? But we all know that it's worth waiting for and worth sparing yourself for. Good luck, stay strong.

Well, I am now 26 years old, 27 this year, I am happy as I am single, but I would like to be in a relationship, but I will not settle for second best, "If my man gives me everything I ask for, then I''m not asking for enough"
Not going to extremes of course.

Yes , very sad story, especially when kids are involved. As a woman, I am proud of you Milisa. You could stand for yourself, and girls too.You are good example for them. And you know what, you are not alone, there are so many women who suffer but can't do what you did do.They do not have courage and stay in bad realationship only to be married.
Congratulations and good luck to you.
