I have three brothers no sisters so growing up I was also a tom boy. I played every sport there was and so competitive. My bestfriend was a little blond hair, blue eyed boy down the street, we were unseperatable. I went to a private school so we weren't permitted to wear make up. But when I moved out of my parents house, all hell broke loose. I discovered short skirts, curling irons and yes make up. I don't wear it everyday. Just usually when I want to look my best going out. I guess I'm stubborn, I wouldn't let a man dictate to me whether or not to wear make up, even if he had a preference. You need to be yourself make up or not. My ex-boyfriend was in a band and wore eyeliner, it didn't bother me a bit. If it made him feel good, so be it. I would say I'm a girly girl now, but a tom boy at heart.

I used to love playing with boys, playing football and doing all other sports, infact I still do .
I am my dad's only child and my cousin is the only child of my turkish uncle so when we were little I used to play with him all the time (we particualry like wrestling) lol but hey we had fun so why not!
I think that some girls who wear to much make up makes them look a little fake and they actually look better without it. Don't get me wrong I do wear make up etc just not everyday. good to hear about all you tom boys

You say that as if some people would be bothered by it......
Generally the only time I don't wear makeup is when I go out to work (I work in primary schools). Other than that I very rarely go out without some makeup. Only nail varnish, eyeliner and eyeshadow usually though - plus sometimes mascara but I hate putting it on :-S

Yes - I would say the same thing about myself......
Although perhaps I am more gothy than girly - who knows???? I don't like labels!!!
But discovering short skirts was certainly a good thing for me
