the way that i understand it calismak..is the verb as in to work..the actual action..
therefore if someone says what are you doing u say im working..calisiyorum..
or what did u do today..bugun calisdim..
ise however, is the place of work..as mentioned by bod..therefore if someone says where are u going..u say ise gidiyorum..im going to work..
or if they ask where you are..u say im at work.isleyim...
also if u want to know how someones work is going u say isler nasil?
hope that helps a bit..thats my understanding of their seperate uses anyway...

In English we use the word work to mean two different things. But think about the place of work as "workplace" and the action of doing work as working.
iş - is the place where you work.
e.g. - I am at work
çalışmak - the act of doing some work.
e.g. - I will work in the garden

So do we!
But we cannot use iş as a verb, so we need to add some suffix to it.
I will work in the garden
Bahçede işleneceğim

Quoting CANLI: How can i say , bluish green ?
mavimsi yeşil ? |
Yes, that is good. -imsi suffix is used in order to say that the color is looks like the other.
sarımsı: it looks like yellow, but not exactly yellow.
some others examples:
beyazımsı, kırmızımsı, yeşilimsi, morumsu, siyahımsı
I don't know how can be mavimsi yeşil. Maybe it is like turkuaz?
