What do you think is sexier pale skin or very tanned? Both male and female opinions appreciated. Thx!

I think you look best when you are nearest to your natural colour. For example, olive skin and dark skins look really sexy tanned, but pale skin which has fake tan or which is over sun-baked looks horrible. I think if your skin is fair you should only go for a light tan, otherwise you just look either strange or old (or both!).

I think people who come back from holiday with a tan (including me!) always FEEL sexier than they actually look haha!

There's a difference between fair skin and being pale tho.. Someone who is tanned can be pale too when he or she is ill

I agree Aenigma! I actually love being tan all year. In the summer I lay out and catch rays and in the winter time, I go to the tanning bed. I don't go all the time, just enough to have some color. I tan pretty easy so, I'm not addicted to tanning beds. When I'm pale, people ask me if I'm sick. So, I guess that's a sign for me to stay tan. The only self tanner cream I have seen on the market that does a descent job is Jergens. Some of them look fake, orangish like. Ok, back to the original question.... Most men that I have met like women who have some color. But then again, there are those who like the natural look.

I don't know where I get it from but my body is used to the sun, and when I last went to Turkey me and my ex boyfriend fell asleep on a boat in the boiling sun, but when I woke up it hadn't effected me at all apart from that I looked like a Turk with my tan because I managed to go so dark without burning (yes I know some turks have fair skin too)
My family on the other hand were fried by the end of the day and looked like tomatoes lol
But ages after the holiday my tan faded and I was back to normal ah well going again! lol

We have a secluded beach used by nudists up here but unfortunately with the low temperatures and winds blowing from the North Sea you are more likely to finish up with pneumonia and a weather beaten look than a tan

UK's weather is not exactly the best I've seen, so I have a plan, all come to Turkey , well not now, the weather is not so good as you may have heard but hey the summers are always great!

We have one near us too - supposedly rated to be one of the best in the UK (Holkham Beach). I have been there before you ask, but not to the nude bit. The nudies are all old, fat and very unattractive, they play silly games like beach volly ball and rounders etc (in the nude argggggg! all those wobbly bits jumping around) so with that said I keep away!

But answering the question, I like to be tanned but only subtly - I stear clear of sunbeds. It is just so nice to lay in the sun and feel the heat on your body, nothing better to get rid of the winter blues, from which I do tend to suffer from around November to February. I am meant to be in the sun not the dark..............

For me tanned skin is the best of all! I have never liked pale men (the same applies to fair-haired men) but it is a matter of taste I think because every skin color has its own beauty....again , tanned is the best for me çok güzel !

I pick up a tan or dark man rather than a pale one, put not like it to be because of the sun or bed tanning, more natural.. Black men are sexier than white ones.. Leaving in an island I am always tan, and try to hide from the sun, put it always gets me.. I have a natural tan all year.

me, i prefer tanned skin. my skin type is pretty olive and come summer time, i can get really tanned and really quickly too, no matter how much sunscreen i put on.

sometimes during the winter months i may use a sunbed every now and then to add some colour, but not that often.

on guys, i'm not too fussed, either fair skinned or tanned...but not too pale though!

I am a natural redhead with a lot of freckles. I get burned immediately when I am (too long) in the sun, no cream, oil or pre-solarium can avoid that. My choices are: milky-white and creme (very slight beige) and I can tell you: it looks good!

As a turkish man, I can say I have no preference. Some people look better with tan, some look better with pale skin. I personally do not have choice;I always try to escape the sun, since I got sun tan easily, and don't like to be darkish brown.

I used to sunbathe alot on holiday, and get quite tanned, but now I prefer to sit in the shade or use a high factor suncream. I've seen tourists lying out in the sun all day with hardly any suncream on practically cooking themselves, but personally I really don't think it's worth it. If you have really pale skin, then your skin is prone to damage from the sun, so using sunbeds, and sunbathing too much probably isnt such a good idea.

Last year someone I knew died of skin cancer, and he was only 20, so for me this puts a whole new perspective on the idea of 'tanning'. I don't have a problem with using fake tan in the summer, there are alot of effective fake tans which if applied properly look quite realistic. Not only is there the risk of skin cancer, but it also causes premature ageing, if you saw a middle aged woman/man who had used sunbeds/sunbathed on a regular basis, you would never sunbathe again!

I also agree with you. I am naturally dark and didn't worry about tanning or its affects until this summer. I was in the sun everyday often with low or no suncreen or hats. Now I have the biggest wrinkle crease across my forehead! Lesson learn...damage irreversible! Even for us 'morenas' protection for the sun and its damaging rays is vital!

Me too! I have been slapping on the factor 30 for a couple of years now (after years of frying myself) and have noticed that not only do the wrinkles stay away, but my tan actually lasts for longer

I personally like whichever skin color is natural for the person. Pale with light features, or dark with dark features, or in between - everyone can be beautiful in their own way
