As an avid wine lover, I must admit to being a wine snob. Although at the moment I am drinking a South African Pinotage, ( a present) I normally drink French, Spanish or Italian wines. I have tried Turkish wine but sadly I was not impressed, by the nose, the after taste and the afor taste for that matter.
Any wine tips would be appreciated for my next trip to Turkey so I know I am getting a good wine. A good wine needs to be reared in the perfect conditions, just enough rain, just enough sun,the right latitude and the correct method of fermetation.............. more details can be supplied if required.
I like my red wine to be strong full bodied, good with red meats and my whites I like to be crisp and dry good with fish and salads.
Aenigma, before you ask, I do not talk or look like Gilly Goulden

More details required!
Is it from one vinyard or from a region of vinyards! That makes a big difference. From one vinyard - good wine, from a region of vinyards then maybe OK but not so good. All depends on the vintage. 1996 was a very good year

I am not sure, but I think 2006 will be a bad year. The weather has spoilt the crop in some regions

Is there such a thing as a "good white wine"... anywhere? .... well apart from champagne that is
