Turkish Airlines plane crashes at Amsterdam airport :(

Claims are that the crash might be caused due to shortage of fuel. More and more airlines take as least as possible fuel to save weight.

Whatever the cause, it would appear we have another example of skillful piloting which played a big part in saving lives.
Had the pilot not managed to make that open field, the toll would undoubtedly be higher.

It´s hard - from the direction they came from - NOT to end up in an open field. Everything there is flat and there are hardly any houses.

Both pilots are dead and their bodies still stuck in the cockpit. Firemen are doing what they can to release the bodies.

By the way, have you ever flown in a plane piloted by a Turkish ex-air-force pilot? They are great, but ascent at a 80 degree angle  while the non-air-force passengers are experiencing 4Gs in the back .
