I can recommend the last one highly, Greek cuisine, but a bit crowded, and there is smoking, quite popular!

GELIK for lamb is famous and a must in Istanbul

Restaurant Name: Cibalikapi Balikcisi..

An old antique building, with old wooden tables and chairs. But clean as well as a luxury restaurant. And delicious wonderful seafood.

If you would like to taste a real choice of seafood, and breathe in an old Istanbul atmosphere Cibalikapi Fishery is a right choice.

A fishery for local citizens is also a good address for tourists. Without being disturbed or hassled, enjoy the harmony of old Istanbul living, with some greek episodes.

The seafood restaurant is open daily from 17:00 to 24:00 and weekends from 14:00 to 24:00.

To reach the restaurant you can take a taxi from Eminonu. Or could be reached by a good! walking.. When you are at Eminonu you will see the Galata bridge and take a taxi on the same coast.. After passing by the Galata bridge, you will see a second bridge and the restaurant is just after 300 meters from the second bridge, near the traffic lights.

The prices are relatively cheap. Salads and starters are around 2-3 USd in a small plate and fish prices are changing according to the season..

The restaturant was accepting Credit cards before, but they do not accept credit card anymore, due to high commision of the banks. So Please carry your cash with you..

Favorite Dish: All kind of seasonal fishes.. Fener shish is a good choice..

CENNET RESTAURANT. Located on the street that the tram runs on about 6-7 small blocks west of the Hippodrome. (I was told that the old building that the restaurant occupies was once a Turkish bath, perhaps part of the historic Cemberlitas Bath that is still in operation and a must!)
As you enter the restaurant linger in the doorway for a few moments and soak up the visual joys of the place: The lucious assortment of meze/appertizers/salads on the table to your left; the profusion of pillows, carpets, low tables and stools scattered about the place; the three chatting ladies in their typical Turkish/Anatolian attire on the raised island in the center of the room busily preparing Gozleme the speciality of the house (the best crepes you've ever eaten!); and if your timing is right the exotic sight and sounds of Turkish music played on exotic instruments by the costumed resident musicians. Definitely not your run of the mill eateries.

O. K. Now your ready to go in. Find a pillow, rug, stool that fits your frame and feast on their simple, delicious food. As I recall there are only three types of Gozleme to choose from so choose all three; they are that delicious! My favorite, favorite was the potato gozleme.

Life threats:

The prospect, even the likelihood, of assassination played a significant role in Colin Powell's decision - and that of his wife - to abandon any thought of a presidential run.
