Hello everybody!

First I would like to thank everybody who will at least read this topic and think about it. And for those who will try to help I would be even more grateful.

Now - at june 2009 I am going to quit my job (after fulfilling two year contract) and I wish to return to university studies (this year I am accepted on a distance study). Since at that time I will be 21 it´s not a problem. But I was thinking - what if I do something, that would help me even more?
I would love to study in Turkey, especially Istanbul but also any other city. Do you have any information regarding possibilities of gaining a scholarship on turkish university for a EU citizen? Where to look, how to proceed, how to apply etc. etc.? Any information is useful for me.
Thank you very much in advance. I think I am not the only one who is thinking about this here

Hi there,

I am kinda new around this place. There are many questions here from people who want to learn and so do I. I visited Istanbul and I really fell in love with Turkey. The problem is there is very limited possibility of learning in my country (Czech republic), for example there is no czech - turkish dictionaries. The courses I could find are all in the capital and although I want to move there it will take at least one year more 'till I can do so.
The questions I have are simple:

a) is there anyone who could provide me with any free materials about turkish language? I am making my own dictionary, it is very small now but every day I ad some and I created some basic grammar things for me. I can trade with any learner here if they would like to.
b) could you provide me with some serious info about turkish study books in english? There is a hell lot of them and I can't seem to find anyone who knows something about their quality.
c) I am looking for people who like to teach and wouldn't mind giving me the basics on-line.
d) Is there anyone from Czech republic here?

I thank you for any assistance you will provide. I dont think I have something to give you in return. I am a student,- I learn english (i can speak quite well, there I could be of help), german and I am a native speaker in czech language
