OK, I found something, but I am not sure. We have Russian born US linguist Roman Osipovich Jakobson.He was born in Moskow in 1896.In school everyone was calling him JAKO.
Kelley , maybe your JAKO was made same way.

Hello everyone,
I was thniking I am alone and lonely before coming to this lovely site.Thanks to all of you I changed my mind and attitude toward life.I can see how you care and help each other, even we are from different countries.It is encouraging.And now I know for sure I am not alone I have friends here 24 hours.I can count on them .
