Yes but we would be laughing AT him and that would only anger him then who knows what he would do!!

There was nothing in that thread as far as I know (may be something added later!!)..
It is not against 301 or anything!!
Why was it deleted?
Is it forbidden to discuss homosexuality in Islam or homosexuality in Ottomans?

I don't know, some guy named Erdem appeared and then poof it vanished. Maybe it had to do with me stating that I should assume Ataturk was not gay. He may not have agreed with this, who knows.

I think Erdem should lock the thread and write the reason for locking instead of deleting it, if he thought that there was a problem. I think that deletion is reserved only for severe insults and deleting threads that he doesn't agree with is a bit of a dictatorship.

If it is true.
IT IS WRONG!! Respecting Ataturk is one thing.. (I do respect him for example. I find him heroic)
But trying to block something because of an artical written by ermenians is different.
It is censorship!!
It shows that we NEVER learnt what Ataturk was saying in the first place when he was talking about democracy and freedom..

If it sheds any light for you, the reason for my warning is that I have no knowledge of Turkish history or culture and I should learn about it before discussing homosexuality....
