 You know Tamikidakika, I am confused at the disdain you have for elders. There is nothing to be ashamed of in being a grandmother or grandfather. In fact, most consider it a honorable status.

Remember your words when you are 60, and if you continue to stay alive, you will get there and more.

Tami, sweetie, if I were you I´d ask for my money back from the university (college/secondary school?). Seems the pricey American education has failed in teaching you basic maths (or is it something you haven´t been taught in TR?)

 Yes, because as you know "you cannot take Turkey out of the girl and turkish people are xenophobic".

 Xenophobic?  That is your word canim, I have never said that about Turkish people.

And..why are you upset about my comment.  If you said to me "you can take the girl out of England but you can´t take England out of the girl" I would not be offended

 I think there´s a huge difference. Nearly 20 years, and it´s a generation.

 mltm, i was referring the attitude of people towards a 60 years old or 79 years old woman.

Not the behaviour of 60 or 79 years old woman

If you treat a woman of 60 the same as one of 79, than maybe it´s time you start reconsidering your attitude towards them! {#lang_emotions_you_crazy}

Sui and Chiko!  This is so discriminating!!!  Many years ago people were OLD at 60, but these days they are very young in their outlook, often still in careers, wearing fashionable clothes and leading productive lives!!  There is certainly a VERY big difference to someone in their 60s to someone in their 80s!!!

I guess when you are only a kid, everyone over 40 seems OLD! lol

 My mum is mid-60s and very young. She is slim, stylish and still a big kid.  On a recent trip to the water park with her grandchildren, she got so addicted to the water slide, we had to drag her off in the end! lol

But they are basing their assumptions on Turkish women.  From my observation - unless the women are from very modern families - Turkish women age much more quickly than British women - both in appearance and in behaviour.  Maybe its the stress of looking after Turkish men!

This is absolutely true. A turkish women would start talking about death and other life when she is 60 but a western woman starts thinking to change husband  when she gets 60
