ok it may not be anger but in the posts about serious issues as Kurdistan thread, all i can see is negativity and disrespect.  you a few girls may not be angry to eachother  ( well i remember the times femme, AE, catwoman, LIR, Libra... got quite angry with eacother and others ). but it doesnt change the fact that most people on this site are very agressive{#lang_emotions_scared}

 I don´t usually post on serious topics....I am smart enough to keep my political/religious views to myself (althought I didn´t always).  Now I just tease people and interject ridiculous comments!!  It seems to make the aggressive ones even angrier...which, as a twisted and slightly sadistic person, I find very amusing.  {#lang_emotions_lol_fast}

No, I didn´t remember, I looked at your posts. I knew that I would find an example or where you exhibit the very behavior you criticize. And of course people have feelings and get angry and there´s nothing wrong with that.

I´ll tell you what makes me angry, it´s people who think they are better than others and come on the website just to show how much more intelligent or how much more peaceful or how much more "whatever" they are and some of them will even give you links just to prove that to you. Some people just have the need to make themselves feel better but putting others down. Nothing personal against you, I haven´t noticed you to be particularly aggressive, but since you asked why people are angry, I´ll give you my personal feedback.

i often think about those women who set themselves on fire in the middle east and in some part of central asia.

my question is: why do they choose this form of suicide? there are many forms of taking your life. why this painful burning?

when i was a child i read an article where it reported that nearly 3000 women attempted to burn themselves within one year solely in uzbekistan. since that time many many other thousands ended up that way throughout the islamic world.

why do they do so? why dont they simply hang themselves? less painful, at least.

must add: also muslim men often throw a burning acid onto disobedient women who decide to go to school instead of being happy and grateful.

why this burning is so popular among muslims? well, i mean among muslimahs. muslim males never get burnt.

I guess it is something got to do with ´trying to leave some scars in some people´s concious´.

I mean, for example, if a woman commits suicide that way, she might be trying to make her partner feel guilty for life..

I  also remember many men (muslim or not) committed suicide by burning themselves mainly for political causes..

But it is an interesting question..It should be investigated further..

 I have wondered the same thing.  Here is my assumption:

Burning: quite possibly the most painful way to die.  Used to scare, threaten and humiliate women throughout the centuries in the Christian world.

I think that for some reason, these women feel like or believe they deserve to die in this way.  Perhaps they believe they are unworthy, or horrible wives or mothers, ect (I am assuming their husband/families have told them that they are)....  Perhaps the manner of death chosen is seen as a way to "cleanse" their sins (for lack of a better term).

Those are my thoughts anyway.  Good question.

they may leave scars in my memory, but they definetly dont leave any in those who made her suffer.

i heard that some men do it for political causes as protest, but they are a drop in ocean of women who suffer everyday life nightmare.

 It is one of the first questions that should be asked.  As for whether or not it is ethical to ask?  Who cares!  I think it is key to trying to understand the women in these situations.  How can we endeavor to improve the lives of women around the world if we don´t ask?  I think that would be a great injustice to these women.  Maybe they are motivated to burn themselves so that people will notice they are willing to burn themselves alive rather than live out a terrible existance.

If you care about making things better for people or understanding people, you are not afraid to ask questions....even if the answers are ugly.

I tell you who cares. All those politically-correct-how-dare-you-criticize-religion-and-offend-my-sensitivity people. And they brand you as Islamophobe if you dare to bring up to their attention the injustice done in the name of religion or they try to deny that those abuses are related to religion (among other things, I´m not saying it´s the only cause). Sometimes I just want to say f* it, what do I care, I´m not the one who is sentenced to lashes for having men bring me bread and I´m not the one sentenced to 20 years in prison for just questioning the religion or I´m not the one that is forced to marry my rapist or denied education because of my gender. But I do feel sorry for those women who suffer no matter how much those "culturally sensitive" people are trying to sugar coat it. It´s interesting that those people are usually not the ones that have to suffer either.

I feel very helpless when it comes to these women half way around the world.  Maybe we can´t help them, but denying what is happening is condeming them further.  There are so many organizations here in the US to help women.....I choose to focus on what I can do here but we can never ignore these women no matter how sad or horrible it is.

The burning might have something to do with the idea of afterlife. I have no idea how it works in Islam, in Christianity it´s a common belief that one day j will return to the Earth and all dead will rise from their graves. Or maybe it´s because of purifying properties of fire? Those poor women get burnt because they´re led to believe they purify themselves this way.

Melek and Lis, I know how you feel, I´m there as well. It´s easy to say bad things happen all over the world and it´s not only Muslim countries probem. but it sort of is - the scale of it and social attitude towards it.

somewhere in the internet:

"The workers at the centre have several theories about why so many women try to kill themselves in such an agonising way. Some believe that religion is to blame - if a woman does something wrong, so the theory goes, she faces burning in hell.

Others argue that in a conservative, patriarchal society, the pain of women is only recognised through dramatic gestures. The kerosene heaters that are in every home provide a way to be noticed."

which doesnt make sense at all. if she is facing a burning hell, then why the hell she burns herself now?

In the Netherlands the Ministry of Health started a campaign against cervix cancer by promoting a vaccin against it for girls of around 13 years. I wonder, is a campaign like that national or are there other countries with the same?

 Yes vaccination has started in the UK, which is great.  There are a few problems already with side effects to the vaccine though.

 It is not proven that cancer is inherited genetically across the board, although certainly some forms (like breast cancer) seem to be passed on that way.

I am not sure of the science of the cervical vaccine (and can´t be bothered to check right now!) but I do know that you can only get cervical cancer it if you are sexually active and there are certain sexual transmitted infections which can increase your risk of getting it.

They have it in the US as well, I recall seeing advertisements about it in the media. It´s a vaccine against the HP virus that can cause cancer, not the cancer itself. If I recall correctly that is.

that was because you are often questioned in places like surgeries, hospitals etc. if anyone from your family had cancer. i should this though.

i think you can develop any type of cancer by leading very unhealthy life.

I think you are partly wrong. As far as I know there are 3 main causes for cervix cancer: a. the inherited variant, b. the one ´given´ by you through HPV - mostly because the woman or her partner were not monogamous and c. mutation. You can decrease risks caused by b. by being monogamous both (!!) for your entire life and using preservatives if not but the other two you can only prevent with a vaccin. That´s what my doctor told me when I asked. BTW, the vaccin only works when the girl has not been sexual active.

 They have been trying to make it mandatory here in the US....here is more information on the HPV vaccine. Probably more information than anyone wanted...but read it if you want.

I would rather make my own decision regarding any vaccine. Make up your own mind.

That word always cracks me up. In the USA, you´d use the word preservatives to describe substances added to food to prevent them from spoiling (you see on the jars a lot: no preservatives added" or something like that), but in Polish the word preserwatywa refers to a condom and the word for "preservatives" is "konserwanty", which would translate as "conservants", things that "conserve". Anyway, it´s just funny to me, and I have to be careful when I´m in Poland not to ask if there are any preservatives in the food lol

They got to be for western men..Not for Turks

Actually, there was a programme several years ago on the telly in Turkey..Hulya Avsar (one of the famous and beautiful stars in Turkey) was pretending to be a ´working girl´ in Taksim Square in Istanbul in the middle of the night...And she was saying to men who wanted to pay, ´But I have aids, you have to use preservative´. I remember one of the answers: the guy said ´we are Turks, nothing happens to us. Lets go´ lol

Was there a shooting in US again?

Major Nidal Malik Hasan is a murderer and has brought great shame upon every American Muslim in the armed forces.

There are currently over 10,000 Muslim soldiers in the U.S. military, men and women who are patriotic and love their country and their fellow service members. Hasan’s evil actions, the murder of his fellow soldiers at Fort Hood, have now brought those honorable soldiers’ loyalties into question.

The Islamophobe community on the Internet is trumpeting how Hasan’s behavior is reflective of the threat Americans face from their Muslim neighbors, and how radical Islamists have infiltrated the ranks of our military. Calls for purging the military, and perhaps even the United States, of its Muslim members have already begun.

Today there are dozens of families mourning the attack on their loved ones by a fellow-in-arms. And there are hundreds of Muslims at Fort Hood who knew Hasan and are stunned that he would betray their country and their community with such cold, calculated ease. Hasan’s rampage has truly shattered many more lives than we can begin to imagine.....more

Gee, it´s hard to keep up with all these shootings!

"ORLANDO, Fla. — The lawyer for the man accused of shooting six people, one fatally, at an Orlando office building on Friday told reporters after a court appearance on Saturday that his client was “very, very mentally ill.”

Hmmm...and there was one in Texas too.....

"A British tourist has been shot dead in a bar in the United States.

Thomas Reeve, 28, was killed when a man entered the bar in Amarillo, Texas, and opened fire, according to local police.

A suspect has been charged with capital murder, police said. A 48-year-old man was shot in the hand and a woman sexually assaulted, local reports say.

The parents of Mr Reeve, of Maidenhead, Berks, said: "He was just in the wrong place, at the wrong time." He leaves behind nine-month-old daughter Tabitha".

Why is the deleted user list incomplete? If one were to look at the current list, they would think there wre only 50 members here who were ever deleted.  I notice quite a few former members who were deleted, are not in that list now. What is the criteria for inclusion in the TC Deleted user list?

Well, obviously I didn´t set up the section - but why is it necessary to see all the deleted users?  Maybe we can ask for it to be changed to ´Last 50 deleted users´.   Is it important you know how many users have been deleted or are you just curious?

Yes, I´m curious.....but I wouldn´t say it is necessary to see any of it, really....

........but if the title for the section says Deleted Users...but it really is the last 50 deleted users, it´s a matter of the accuracy of just what is being presented.

It is the Last 50 Deleted Users, not Deleted Users.  FWIW....I was looking for a pattern in the deleted users, but found some of the ones I remembered were not there.

For LİR:

"Yilgun - Why have you started using what we in Britain call ´the Royal We´ when posting or replying to posts?"

This is a very important question!

Reply:

In Turkish language, in Turkish culture,  we like to say "We".

Because "I" is a selfish, very sincere, rude, simple, smart aleck, ignorant and  childish word in general.

But "We" is a  respect, polite, social, meaningful and  properly word.

For an example, a king, a princess, a leader, a president, a prime minister, a formal personality, a very sincere person, a very sincere friend, a relative,  of course can use "I" instead of "We", according to customary observances and  Turkish culture.

There is a difference between "I" and "We".

And as you know well, in Turkish language, there are two important words, act of addressing :

1-Sen

2-Siz

Sen= It is a rude, a sincere, a childish, an ignorant, an informal, an impolite and a simple word in Turkish language and Turkish culture.

Siz = It is  a polite, a formal, a respectful, a courteous, a meaningful, and a thoughtful word in Turkish Culture, in Turkish Language.

There is a difference between "Sen" and "Siz".

For example, we address as "SİZ" to our teacher, our boss, a foreigner, high level persons and old persons, like "EFENDİM".

This is a traditional, real Turkish Culture, real Turkish Language.

But I don´t know, maybe "SEN" and "SİZ" are same word in the western languages?

Long answer - thank you.   But you are talking about addressing someone as ´you´ and the polite versus impolite way of doing so (and you are right there is no ´formal´ and ´informal´ ´you´ in English).  But I call my friends ´sen´ and they have never called me rude, impolite, childish or ignorant. {#emotions_dlg.sad}  My question was why do you refer to yourself in the plural?  ´I´ or ´Ben´ is first person singular, ´We´ or ´Biz´ refers to more than one person.

 YES, I did... in a very careful way. I said that people were saying this about him... first reaction was "let people talk"... Okay, so my next response was "but what do you think about the content of their talks?" His reaction was "If I am the father or if I am not the father of these children...this will be a secret"

I know...strange reaction....

Yes, I sometimes am writing as plural - not singular like a king, like an expert - in the name of my friends. It refers to more than persons.

Turkish and English are different languages.

Yes of course, you should call your sincere and close friends, your family members and your relatives as informal "SEN, O, BEN , etc) singular.

 It seems to be either insecurity or nosism.  If you are insecure about yourself and feel "safety in numbers" it is common to avoid giving your own personal opinion and instead hide behind "we".

If it is nosism, then it REALLY IS the opposite - a very big ego!!!

The majestic plural (pluralis majestatis in Latin) is the use of a plural pronoun to refer to a single person holding a high office, such as a monarch, bishop, pope, or university rector (and Yilgun). It is also called the "Royal ´we´" or the "Victorian ´we´." The more general word for the use of we to refer to oneself is nosism:-

As it´s often used by editors, it´s also known as the "editorial we". It´s also called "the royal we" owing to its frequent use by royalty. Mark Twain once said, "Only kings, presidents, editors, and people with tapeworms have the right to use the editorial ´we´."

"We must avoid both egoism and nosism in order to realize the glory of humanity." J. Odera Oruka; Philosophy, Humanity and Ecology; Diane Publishing; 1996.

I´m confused! Do you mean ´1st person plural´ or ´3rd person´ ?I don´t think one can talk about oneself in the second person.   {#emotions_dlg.confused}

Aenigma, you evil person! I wanted to be extremely witty and suggest that from now on, I´d be referring to my humble person with 3rd person singular pronoun, but you have to ruin my idea by confusing the 1st person plural with 3rd person singular! Why do yo Brits always have to spoil good things? Like turning tea into a suspiciously coloured obscure milky drink? {#emotions_dlg.rant}

Yes yes yes I confess I made a huge mistake!!! Not only did I refer to "second person singular" (which of course refers to "you") instead of first person plural (a la Yilgun)  but I then wrote in the third person singular

However (and this is important) I have never taken tea or coffee with milk OR sugar

Living in California I must admit, I really miss the Winter weather, but when it goes on and on and on.........{#emotions_dlg.head_bang}...........it´s too much........but when those first buds appear on what looked like a dead tree, it´s feels fabulous, like one has been reprieved! I guess you really can´t appreciate it unless you had the cold grim weather................but after all the lights come down and the Holiday parties are over, it feels to me like enough.

hmmm.....if you think of rain as gloomy, I guess that´s what you get.....for me it´s the freezing cold ones with no snow or rain...or just enough rain to do a rapid freeze, making walking a life and death activity...not to mention the freezing wind that whips through all layer of your clothing in a flash freeze moment.

A question I have been dying to ask nifrtity for months now - and the year´s nearly over so why not now .

Why do you almost always attach the indefinite article (a) to the word following it?  (Example in your last post acirtificate).  Do you not realise that this is a separate word or is it a constant typo?  {#emotions_dlg.unsure}

     Why you need to make a council to debate about deleating an user´s account a person who kept insulting people( and you) for years ? Looking at someone´s personal pictures and telling her baby´s stupid is a reason to think twice before clicking ´deleat account´ button ?

I don´t think there was any ´council of debate´ about deleting Rocco Siffredi - I wasn´t here actually so I don´t know for sure, but I doubt it.  We have had our eye on him for ages - he was known under another name and deleted before you joined.  He seemed to have issues with a certain member but she is well capable of giving as good as she gets as I´m sure she would agree.  However, this time, it was obviously considered that enough was enough and he is gone.  No doubt, like with most people whose accounts we delete, there will now be a flurry of posts from those who ´miss him´.

In addition:  I just checked - and the ´zero tolerance´  policy was made on November 1st - RS has 2 posts that were allowed since that date - others have been deleted, so obviously we are implementing the rule of zero tolerance (which referred to deletion of unacceptable posts) and have followed it up with account deletion in this case.  We can´t just go back in time and delete people now on the basis of their past posts - if we did you might be surprised who wouldn´t be here any more!

I´m not a native English speaker but I´ll try to help you figure it out. It can be the word:

1. corporate - written by a person who has a speech impediment, cannot pronounce "r" and replaces it with "l". Wrongly used vowels "a" and "u" may symbolise the dislike to corporate business

2. a slang compound noun that originates with "cool" and "prate" meaning an interesting lecture

3. just like above but referring to a parade rather than prate. Voiceness of "d" is lost on purpose

I hope I helped you a bit. Living abroad may seriously lead to losing fluency in your mother tongue

Why do people think that I am a Turkish man?

1.  Why they think you are a man:

Don´t you know that when a woman expresses herself in a manner that portrays her as being strong, independant and educated, she automatically grows a pair of testicles?  Your moustache will be coming in shortly, if it hasn´t already!{#emotions_dlg.lol_fast}

I think this is going from one horrible parenting to another, the kids are not seen as individuals and actually spent time with and talked to in either case. The only positive thing in this project I think is that the over-priviliged, spoilt, ignorant people get to see how most of the world lives.

Ok, I agree with your first point.

those children whom you call spoilt and ignorant are the products of decaying secular europe with no moral values. Do whatever you wish to do. the reality is bad. gone beyond the comprehension.

 those strict parents do spend time with their children. They control and demand from their children to focus on education, while in europe the level of education is gradually dropped down. Today you dont have to worry about your spelling - you are doing great anyway!you will be classified as dyslectic and that will justify you.

I do some voluntary work at schools and I will tell you how shocking are the state schools.They are breeding morons.

Sounds aweful! I don´t know if the "secular Europe has no moral values"... I don´t know what you mean by that.. I think that the state should not be taking any moral stances, just like Agnieszka Graff said "for people to have moral choices, the laws have to be liberal", and laws are not liberal in "moral" (read: religious) countries.

I believe in the state propaganda model of the society. In countries that raise children in the strict authoritarian way, the children learn from early age to obey the rules, be obedient followers of what the elders or government tell them to do. But in free societies like the West, it is not that easy to have obedient population (and you need that if you want the politicians to run freely without any check from the people, and trust me - they themselves are billioners and they have billioner friends in whose interest it is that politicians make decisions that are bad for the people), so they have a more sophisticated model of control. They lower the standards of education, increase tuition so that people are in debt for the rest of their lives and therefore slaves to the system, and make people consumed with dumb entertainment/consumerism/"created wants" being the main pursuits.. all that while being completely ignorant about the world and important decisions that are being made in the government.

So yes, I think that both methods of parenting are horrible. And the traditional families apparently also beat the kids.. that´s child abuse.

I watched a similar program ITV channel about a professional nanny helping out mums who couldnt look after their kids?

I dont think parents are bad. From the video it looks like they are not bad, they lost a control over their children.As most parent they wish good to their children.

The government took the authority from the parents and schools. children cannot be punished in the positive manner. and then suddenly we have monsters who cannot control themselves.

and believe me this is not a fiction.

I dont know if the programme helps them. they spend a week only in other families. you cant change within a week.

I totally dont get what you mean by "liberal laws". Europe has the most liberal laws and regulations in the whole world. And that is the main reason for Europe to experience moral corruption. The laws are to protect innocent and punish culprints not to be fancy named liberal.

What do you mean by moral choices? you cant choose morals. good is good and bad is bad - and this is one moral. there are no other options.

As for politicians together with rich people fool us. True!

I am against the child abuse, but people should not exaggerate that too. If I punish my children even physically I do it out of love.

I understand there are patalogical cases of abuse. But what is happening in Europe where children abuse their own rights, their own lives it is OTT!

 Soooooo true!  It is so hard to raise a well round child here in the US.  I am not sure how it is where you are lemon but they have discontinued most extra activities like art, music, theater, most sports (except for the ones that bring schools money).  I don´t think that schools should only be a place for academic studies.  It is a place to find out about the world around us and to become a "well-rounded", educated human being who is able to make decisions on their own.  It is no wonder that so many adolescent children in the west are acting out and behaving badly.  We have taken away all things that make a human being a unique and special, we have cut off all avenues of growth and expression and then pour our children into a mold of public school mediocrity.  I am lucky to be able to send my son to music lessons and to pay for extra classes for him in subjects that he is interested in.  I do live in what is supposedly a good school districe BUT I still think what he is learning in school is very substandard to what I learned 25 years ago in school.  Parents who usually work full time are charged with the task of filling in the gap of what public schools are missing....and more and more these days, less and less parents are able to do that.

Well, for you the line is very clear and that´s your choice, for some other people it may not be the same as yours! For example abortion - almost every woman says that she doesn´t ever want to have one, but for example when she is unfortunate enough to be raped by a man, she may have to make a TOUGH moral choice (tough either way - to get and not to get abortion).

Prostitution is another one - there are women who are in prostitution because of lack of other options, many of them! They hate themselves for doing it, but they have to make a tough moral choice. (of course not all prostituted women are the same)

On and on... so liberal laws should allow space for these moral decisions to take place and should never force anyone to do what a politician or another person THINKS one should do in her/his tough life situation.

What kind of "moral corruption" is Europe in? Please explain.

It is the ritual of three candidates who wanted to be accepted in freemasonry fraternity. In the beginning it says this video schocked Turkish people( I dont remember actually )and freemasons who havent reached the higher degrees yet. It says; deciphering the scerecy of the freemasonry lodge which keeps its secrecy till 1737 & showing the real face of masons via this video, had been talked many days in Turkey. After then firstly candidates were introduced and they vowed that they would keep the secrecy of lodge, and rules of freemasonry told to them, they vowed that they all would adhere to that rules. And lasly they vowed that they would work for freemasons and for their aims. Thats all...

 They still operate in Turkey as far as I know.In our educational system as well, the priority is class attendance, relationship with other students and respect for school rules and teachers, charity work and other accomplishments not related to academic records.

I thought it could be a fake film because the person who was shooting the film would be easily identified and punished.

Grades for class attendance? If you don´t attend class you get kicked out of school here  But first your parents will get a fine (ofcourse if you missed classes several times without a good reason). Yup, nothing motivates parents to push their kids in the classroom like cold hard euro´s

Accomplishments next to academic records is just something you do for fun in Holland, or for the experience. It can lead to better jobs in the future, because you fill your resumé (says the former high school debate club top-speaker )

No, barba, you are badly missing the point! We both are God-made and made on the earth and of the opposite sexes. On top of these, we are both celever, have great sense of humour, have no problems during period-days, and you are so beautiful while I am so handsome and attractive! They are mainly not maltreatment of Kurds.

Most of  my recent posts are anti-racist.. I am hoping that you are not against them..

But I will post something about it soon as soon as I find time..

We should talk about the merits of being on that ship to be a ´shahid-martyr´. (nobody questions Israel´s inhumane actions in Gaza, but there is a difference being on that ship as you are a protester or you are there to fight against jews because they are cruel to your muslim brothers)

Excuse me, but there are almost two dozen posts about some aspect of Kurds, and nothing regarding the murder (of your own countrymen) and brutal mistreatment of peace activists bringing aid to the Gaza people.Shot in the back of the head...shot in the back?...but no time to discuss this....you have more important things to disguss.

You´re right, I did assume the word was an attempt at some kind of vulgarity ( sh** or carp), but I wasn´t insulted by it.  I guess "ignorance is bliss". My real name is Kim, but you can call me Dim.

Some time later . . .  I see from J´s post today that muckkk clearly means a kiss.

There are two types of people here: those who keep changing their nicks and those who are suspicious of them (as expected). I am glad, many people have time for these kinds of games but I still don´t know what the motive is.

There are couple of guys who take your time for granted when it comes to complaints and the like. Interestingly, despite having all this time at their disposals, they hardly ever volunteer sharing some of the responsibility by becoming mods. Did they do that, they would realize how difficult it can be to keep everyone pleased.

Instead of lynching TC members why not lynch the bastard of a man who just beat his 13 year old daughter to death because she did not want to go to prayer.  I did not know that refusing to go to prayer for a muslim girl was a death sentence.  The man was arrested but his wife and other children say he is innocent.  Yeah right! He called the police himself and said he slapped his daughter.  The girl was bloodied and beaten beyond recognition.  It is a shame that Canada does not have the death penalty, now that man will spend 5 to 10 years in prison being fed and clothed with the peoples tax money.

If you want to lynch someone, lynch people like that!

Agree with you completely.

The other day I saw like 4-5 boys (age 10-12) punching a girl of age 14-15 and having fun. I was so angry and when I shouted at them they ran away. But the girl caught the one who didnt touch her but stood aside giggling then she slapped him. She was asking me to help. I did. The boys disappeared. It was a good lesson to them. Then the girl was swearing at their mothers. I said it wasnt their mothers but fathers fault. They grow up watching their fathers. And them are bastards.

All this time there was another girl wearing hijab who stood next to that girl. I thought she was a passer by. But it turned out to be that it was her friend. She stood there enjoying the whole thing. Did nothing to protect her friend. If she was my friend I would unfriend her immidiately.

In your previous story, we observe the spontaneity of interactions among individuals. We could draw some general conclusions but that might not apply equally well to all women following the hijab code etc.

Nevertheless, we can claim religious orientation does have a strong inflıuence in the ethical aspects of behaviour. Religion being lived as a cultural asset rather than a strictly followed set of rules, we could consider it as both a catalyst of the resulting cultural outlook and a product of that culture itself.

Morever, presence or absence of consent to a mainstream religious way of life could be a deceptive indicator of one´s cultural identity. Communities produce all sorts of members from a religious point of view. Nevertheless, just like the bulk of icebergs immersed in water, the essential aspects of an individual is immersed in the cultural pool of his/her society. A much safer way to criticize behaviour in such societies would be to disregard the caps and turbans and the stuff. We could get better results if we used psychology and sociology as our guides.

Since human is human everywhere, we could understand him better if we look at him/her from a universal perspective. Religious and cultural aspects will only be instrumental in further understanding their traits etc.

I have some suggestions for a gang name:

"Gang that No Longer Chews Gum" (GNLCG)

"TC Lounge Ladies" (TCLL)

"The Gang Formerly known as the Chewing Gum Gang" (GFKCGG)

"Liberated Hairy Harem" (LHH)

I have some suggestions for a gang name:

"Gang that No Longer Chews Gum" (GNLCG)

"TC Lounge Ladies" (TCLL)

"The Gang Formerly known as the Chewing Gum Gang" (GFKCGG)

"Liberated Hairy Harem" (LHH)

"The Girls Who Really Don´t Want to Learn Turkish but Hang Out Here Anyway" (GWRDWLTHOHA)

"The Burka Babes" (BB)

Any thoughts?

I am LOVING the Burka Babes and the Lounge Ladies....not sure about giving the Hairy any more attention than he deserves though.   As there NEVER really was a gang originally, and was merely paranoia from certain members (Alameda did that include you?  I forget ) how about the Women´s Turkish Force (WTF)............{#emotions_dlg.whistle}

Personally I am concerned that if we went with Burka Babes I would be forced to wear my see-through burka toe every  meeting!

I do like GWRDWLTHOHA but it´s quite a mouthful and honestly it´s just TOO much to remember!

I submit for consideration:

Dudu-Loving Diva Organization (DLDO) {#emotions_dlg.angel}

Ladies Of the Lounge (L O L)

TCs Tequila Temptresses (TTT)....or is that just me? {#emotions_dlg.unsure}

We´re Only Here to Raise a Ruckus Gang (WOHRRG)

 A suggestion for the gang name?  Hmmmmm.....does this have anything to do with your PM and the fact that I told you that you have to complete a seven-part application to see if you qualify to be my "friend"?  {#emotions_dlg.shy}

.....for example, here I sit wondering if I should stay, or go and make some tea.  I would really like some tea, but am waiting to see if my best friend Tunci will reply to my post.  In the old days, I could hover my cursor over his name and would know if he was about to post or not.  These days, it´s impossible to know if he is spamming Russian girls or replying to my post

If you check back through my several thousand posts you will find MANY references to the fact I only drink Green Tea!!!  I dont have milk or sugar in tea and green tea tastes nicer.  I also have a penchant for Turkish tea (but don´t tell Tunci )

Interesting. Brits usually don´t like green tea. It has a strange taste which I can only mask with lemon and honey.

Dear Elena,

FYI, I go to gym everyday. I run 3km for warming up and work out 1hr. I also swim about 0,5km every other day. I lost about 11kg in about 3 months.

However, I discovered I have a problem with my spine. Now I cant enjoy most of my exercises except for swimming.

So what do you think of green coffee?

After a long break from TC I peeked in here earliy summer and saw nothing interesting except for handsome´s bickering with the rest of the TC.

How has everyone been?

Havent seen here many like famous and fabulous AE, loved by everyone LIR, bed amerikan GG, hot and patriotic Turkish brothers.

What a romantic Sunday today! Its quiet and peaceful. Just me and tea with milk. I can see through the window the autumn pacing in with its pleasing cold mornings that feel like a fresh mint balm after the roasting summer heat.
