YOUR HOUSE

Where would you like to live, in a flat (apartment) , in a house, in a villa, in a cottage, in a hut or in a farm ?
- We used to live in houses or farms; very few people used live in flats in the past.

I live in a house and would not want to change! I am far too noisy to live in a flat

I live in a condo and love it....I don´t have to do yard work (although, I love to tend to my plants on the terrace) and I get to own something.

I have a house and about an acre of land, about 30 miles out of the city. It´s quiet here....I don´t know if I could ever live back in the hustle and bustle...I work there...that´s enough for me!!

I live in a 3-room apartment on the third floor of a small apartment building (only 21 apartments) near the city center. Pictures of my house I uploaded on my profile.

And considering that I am currently living in a 18 m2 place, you are quite right about it.

Interesting question. I´ll take a villa. That way there would be room for family and friends. It should have enough land for a few animals (chickens, a few lamb, whatever, and a decent sustenance garden too.

Ahhh yes, those were fun times! The power outage was during a major storm and half the city was out too.....the internet....well, that´s just good ol´ dial up for you.
I do now actually have an option of high speed wireless but I am leary since my wireless card that I already have doesn´t work well at home and I can´t find anyone who has the service so I don´t know how reliable it is.

Our House - Madness
Father wears his sunday best Mothers tired she needs a rest The kids are playing up downstairs Sisters sighing in her sleep Brothers got a date to keep He cant hang around
Our house, in the middle of our street Our house, in the middle of our ...
Our house it has a crowd Theres always something happening And its usually quite loud Our mum shes so house-proud Nothing ever slows her down And a mess is not allowed
Our house, in the middle of our street Our house, in the middle of our ...
Our house, in the middle of our street Our house, in the middle of our ... Something tells you that youve got to get away from it
Father gets up late for work Mother has to iron his shirt Then she sends the kids to school Sees them off with a small kiss Shes the one theyre going to miss In lots of ways
Our house, in the middle of our street Our house, in the middle of our ...
I remember way back then when everything was true and when We would have such a very good time such a fine time Such a happy time And I remember how we´d play simply waste the day away Then we´d say nothing would come between us two dreamers
Father wears his sunday best Mothers tired she needs a rest The kids are playing up downstairs Sisters sighing in her sleep Brothers got a date to keep He cant hang around
Our house, in the middle of our street Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our street Our house, in the middle of our ...
Our house, was our castle and our keep Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, that was where we used to sleep Our house, in the middle of our street
Our house, in the middle of our street

I like my house better - more relaxing!
I´ll light the fire You put the flowers in the vase That you bought today
Staring at the fire For hours and hours While I listen to you Play your love songs All night long for me Only for me
Come to me now And rest your head for just five minutes Everything is good Such a cosy room The windows are illuminated By the sunshine through them Fiery gems for you Only for you
Our house is a very, very fine house With two cats in the yard Life used to be so hard Now everything is easy ´Cause of you And our la,la,la, la,la, la, la, la, la, la, la.....
Our house is a very, very fine house With two cats in the yard Life used to be so hard Now everything is easy ´Cause of you And Our
I´ll light the fire And you place the flowers in the jar That you bought today

After living for a year in an appartment in Ãzmir with one of the most stunning views of the city (the bay, the other side of the city at the other side of the sea, most enchanting at nights with all its lights, a forest at the other side and a pretty wide panorama of most of the other central city quarters), I have always said I would even live in a tent if I get to enjoy that view everyday.. maybe a little overstatement, but really, who needs a big villa with too many rooms for too little (useful!) stuff, if you can live simple but surrounded by beauty when you wake up and go to bed. Even putting trash outside the building was generally nice business, because of the children playing around, the flowers around the building and the view and smell of the sea!

It really doesn´t have to be in the country you don´t have electricity. Many times when I was living in the middle of New York City, we were without electricity. You don´t hear about all of the blackouts and brownouts...there are many.

Just as another thought on "Your House" - what is it made of?
Bricks and Blocks
Blocks that are painted
Wood
Stone
Mud
This is like a little survey...................... You may think it is obvious, but times are changing and construction methods are too with sustainable construction and heat loss being the big topics
Mine is a traditionally built house of bricks and blocks with a tiled roof

Mine is a traditionally built house of bricks and blocks with a tiled roof
Ours is brick and block too and the external walls are two brick walls with a small gap between for preventing the heat loss. But however, some of the windows are single sash windows with a huge heat loss..(apperantly, making them double glazed increases the weight and they dont work anymore)
In istanbul, a clasical apartment would be a concrete structure with hallow bricks and the windows would be plastic double windows (although they look ugly but they do the job)
I remember the house when my mother was born..It was made of mud bricks (with straws in them )with 2 feet thick external walls, small windows with shutters. It reall felt really warm there.

Pedaliza, I have already told you that writing in Turkish is not allowed in most of the forums. Our members are mainly people who are here to learn Turkish or to debate and learn about things in Turkey. It is not of any educational use to write our replies in Turkish that the majority of our members cannot understand. I kindly ask you to have a look at our forumrules, which you can find here: http://www.turkishclass.com/TurkishClassRulesAndTerms.php, I especially advice you to have a look at forum rule number 3, where the specific forums are noted where Turkish is allowed, accordingly in the rest of the forum it is English.
Your message was unacceptable, because of it being written in Turkish and also because of the content. It has therefore been deleted. You have no right whatsoever to tell another member where or where not to write. Please refrain from such actions in the future. If you have any other questions or comments you can contact me or any of the other administrators and moderators of this website. Thank you in advance.

So will you write in Dutch to me, because I am Dutch? As I have said before: the language for this forum is ENGLÃSH. Messages in Turkish that do not serve an educational practice are not allowed and will be deleted. So you might as well just not write them.
I am Deli_Kizin No seriously, I am an administrator of this website. Together with 2 other administrators (admin and Catwoman), and moderators (among them ladyinred, mltm, CANLI and some more which you can see on the forums page) we run this site. I have told you: your posts are deleted because they are in Turkish which is not allowed, and some of them were also offensive.
Oh and I suppose you meant ´guy´, not ´gay´.
