No one can do that except you!
İts called believing...and that is something coming from your inner,inside you.
No one can tell you to believe !
Look arround you,look inside you and you will get your answeres .

Well Canli, it was on 19 July that I did want to believe in God, but since then I have sometimes wanted to believe in God nevertheless. Would I really and honestly and wholeheartedly believe in God if I knew that she will forgive me? Don't know. But sometimes I said to myself if I am forgiven, I would believe in God. But I am afraid God doesn't work at all, because I am not forgiven and it seems I will never be forgiven.

İ guess you got this mixed up
There is God and there is people
So when you do something bad to God,as not obaying HİM for example,so you ask forgivness from GOd
İf you do something wrong to people,and that thing GOD doesnt approve on it of course,then so you'd be forgiven only when GOD and people forgive you.
You ask GOD to forgive you,and HE will forgive you as long as you really meant it,and you really regret it.
Then you ask people 'the one you hurt' to forgive you,and that is up to people themselves if they forgive you or not.
But you can always pray to God ,ask HİM to make them forgive you.
As we say,ALLAH can forgive what is HİS,but cant forgive what is NOT HİS.

Well said, Canlı. That's why God doesn't work. I would really and wholeheartedly wish God existed and worked, but sadly... sadly...

Then what is the point in praying to God if I am not forgiven? But nevertheless, -it is strange- I prayed to God and asked him to make her forgive me although I knew this didn't work and help me at all. That didn't work and help anyway.

God not a tool you use it to have what ever you want no matter what it is !
God is NOT an employee Haşa ALLAH,you order and HE carry on!
God gives you a choice,and gave her a choice too.
You used your choice and hurted her,and she also has the right to use her choice and forgive you or not !
God,why do you only think about your wishes and not the other side?
How about she ?!
Doesnt she have the right and the choice at least not to forgive the one who hurted her ?!
She didnt pay you back,i didnt see you posted something saying she get even,so how on earth would she calm down?
Or find peace if you took even her right not to forgive you ?!
Even for a while??!!!!
You know,in a material world pagliaccio,i can say you would NEVER be forgiven accourding to the things you said you did.
But in a world which i believe GOD is exist,then an extra ordinary thing can happen and she can forgive you!
ALLAH could make her find peace in forgiving you.

You dont test GOD !
İf you come closer to HİM a hand lenghth,HE will come closer to you an arm lenghth,if you walked toward HİM,HE would run toward you.
That is how it is.

well i disagree.
suppose sometimes somebody else tells you to believe... and it might happen exactly then that you will listen... if so, wouldn't it be just God's will? melting with our most inner longing (towards him)?
let us not be rigide...
I read a poeam once and it was about what if God would have to bear everything WE believe about him...
