some members still try to show sympathetic Terrorism. I dont agree that there is oppresion against some ppl in turkey.

Janissary, NOBODY who stands up here against oppression of Kurds supports PKK or terrorism. Trying to understand why Kurds are attracted to such extreme and horrible ways is the key to solving the problem though. It is really for your benefit to do this. It has been documented that Kurds have been oppressed in Turkey, even though they were fighting along side Turks for Turkey. It is pretty clear that this oppression has caused them to turn to terrorism for lack of a better way. I may be wrong about this, but this is what I think. It's the same as Arabs becoming suicide bombers. Would they become that if they had Israeli-American type weapons? No. Would they have a reason to become terrorists if they weren't invaded in their own homes? No. Does it make terrorism ok? No!

I do think that PKK is hurting Kurds. Violence breeds violence and ignorance breeds ignorance. It would be much better for them to go to schools, become lawyers, go to international human rights organizations and expose the injustice. But if you have a lot of people living in quite primitive conditions, the only thing that will attract them is a primitive solution, which is violence. I believe that having that option gives them a sense of preserving their dignity. However, I do know that many Kurdish people are against PKK because it hurts them! It hurts their families, it hurts innocent Turkish and Kurdish people, it is wrong and it is not solving anything. On top of that it makes some good, just Turks blind to the oppression that Kurds are subjected to.

NOTHING justifies terrorism but if Kurds aren't oppressed in Turkey then why would PKK exist? Why would people die in terrorist attacks? If Kurds are not fighting for equality why would they fight at all? Are they a simply blood-thirsty nation whose hobby is causing trouble?

Don't you think the kurds must take some blame for their position? Their circumstances are not unique to Turkey. They face the same "so-called oppression" in every country they live in. And its because in all of these countries, they are fighting for their own independent nation and wish to carve out land from these existing countries. I am not saying whether this is right or wrong. But the bottom line, this is the underlying tension an all of these regional countries. If the kurds were not a threat to try and redraw borders with help of U.S., U.N., E.U. etc, their perceived oppression would be much different.

Allah allah. lol
This is really getting interesting here.
We are telling him what we have done to kurds in Turkey, we are telling him here is the document about asimilation, we are saying that that is how we killed them, that is how we changed their names. We are telling them to check the cases in EU human rights courts.
He is still coming back with "so called opression".

Phew!!
Like a comedy show!!

I'm saying that if the threat of kurish seperation and turkish loss of land were gone, the over-handed rule of the kurds in the east would be less oppressive. There are two sides to this story.

wow..at least now we have a new saying :
"the kurds in the east would be less oppressive", which means there IS opression NOW and it will be less in the future.
But am I right to think that the phrase was 'so-called opression' or no opression at all?
or this is "being economical with the truth".

A bigger comedy show ..lol

Unfortunately, this is the consequence of neglecting this issue and treating Kurds this way for so long. Now, it's not only the issue of oppression and terrorism, but also them wanting their own land.
