AS an older memeber of this site, I would like to add, when I was 16 or 17, I weighed around 8 stone and was size UK 10. (In fact into my forties I only ever weighed around 8½ stone) Now someone my height and around 8 stone would be a size 8 or even a six. I am now a size 12 which really would be a have been at least a size fourteen, 30 or so years ago.
What we have to remember is that sizing has altered to suit the changing shape of women and I agree with Robyn (on this occasion, there is always a first and a second ) anyone who is a UK size 6 should not be thinking about losing weight, and neither would someone a size 10.
Why are you all so hung up about your size, when you get to my age you have to accept a little more of what you are. As your metabolism natually slows down, you dont get a lot of choice, it happens over night.

8 stone = 112Lb = 51kg
9 stone = 126lb = 57kg
10 stone = 140lb = 63½kg
11 stone = 154lb = 70kg
That is a bit more acurate, but sizing OK.
