This is getting a bit like "TC Problem Page" However, I really want to advise you NOT to contact him. Its easy to want contact and demand explanations but there is really no point. There will be either of two outcomes or BOTH.
(1) His explanation will just be a pack of lies.
(2) Once you start talking to him again you will realise that you have missed him (meaning "someone") and, if you are not careful, will be the one who ends up apologising him to HIM for your reaction, blah blah and soon you will be back together with a git again.....until next time!

I completely understand this feeling Jools. It must be extremely hard to move on without having all the answers and at least some kind of consolation that it wasn't all that bad.
However, I think that Aenigma is right, as difficult and brutal as it may sound.
Maybe it would be a better idea to talk about this with a counselor. There may be some unresolved feelings (that may make it hard to move on), some deep messages to be taken out of this painful experience, and a need for closure that you may not get from the person you want it from.

It is true about men being idiots in every color and county. I have been with a man for almost 8 years and after the first 2 of wonderful years his true colors came out.
He is American and so am I.
It is what we overlook in them and we have to step back and ask ourselves why we settle for anything less?
I don't know, I am still trying to figure that one out.
We have this dream when we are little how we want our lives to be when we are grown then the reality for most of us was that our dreams have been torn, crushed and forgotten.
All I ever wanted was a husband who cares and to be a family. I got the family part but the husband cares more about his friends booz and drugs.
It has taken me 5 years of ups and down and slams and fights to realize that I am my own person and I can choose what and how I want my life to be.
Now having 2 children its not all about me anymore and I have to be very selective in my life.
I read these forums about Turkish love and I really hope that mine comes true. I hope that he will be the man he says he is and if I see any different I will not overlook it this time. Learning from your mistakes and your choices in life is what makes you a better and stronger person.
Now I am in the battle of my mind if I should even come to Turkey. I am almost 30 and never been out of the country and that was one of my dreams when I was younger. I have some friends telling me its a bad idea and that I will get kidnapped and or the family of whom I will be seeing will kill me if they don't like me.
That is one of my downfalls is that I trust people and think that people are like me, kind hearted and trusting and loving.
If anyone has any insights on this subject about if you meet a Turkish mans family and they do not like you will they kill you or stone you.
I have two children and I don't want them to be raised by an alcoholic/drug father.......
