I am not comfortable with sharing my name because of identity theft issue but I am willing to share ridiculous events that made my parents give my first and middle names.

My first name means wide and open sea, I have this name because when I was born my sister met this handsome guy and insisted my parents to have his name (with hiding the real reason of course with false ones like how it good sounds, etc..).

My middle name means North Star in Turkish and thanks to my uncle. He forced my father to have his name. It is our family tradition to have the name of his grandfather as a middle name for a male. By doing so, everybody (mostly elders) in our home town can have a guess about who you are even they never met you before. But the problem was, before his death my grandfather told my father not to give his name to his son he might have some day. His reason was simple. He fought many battles (under the command of Ataturk and Ottoman Army) that he was afraid that his name might have brought bad fortune to his grandson. So my uncle had this great idea that I must have his name instead as a middle name and he made it such an issue from something silly like that; leaving no room for my parents to argue
