Kalamarakia comes from kalamari and it's kalamar in turkish. Like most of the greek words, you cut an i in the end and there you have the turkish word.

Hehe ok thanks, i knew it came close. Kadir has told me many times by now i think, but it just kept slipping away through my mind. I remember i was so stunned to see the shape of the tiny thingies through the fried stuff. I must have been like 10 or something.

Deal!
And by the way, let me celebrate the first time i totally agree with mltm!
     |
 haha
yes, we agree about midye and kokoreç, but I'm afraid again we don't totally agree eachother because I really likee işkembe.
My never ever be eatens could be snails, frog legs, insects, dogs and brain.

aah and a small note: even if no one really seems to be caring around, I try not to consume mussels, I just eat them a few times in a year because they're not very healty they take inside all the toxic things in the sea like a sponge and if you eat them frequently over years the chemicals are accumulated in your body. You should be really very sure about where they come from.
