As you can see on the front page announcement, we have a contest for the best design that can be printed on a mousepad. It has to be something that would reflect this site, and everybody who submits a serious design, will receive a mousepad with the winning logo!

I heard that there´s a free alternative to photoshop -- Gimp, have you tried it?

 Cool, I didn´t know that!  It won´t help me though as I have zero artistic skills, but I will still check it out.

I confirm, GIMP is free and it´s like adobe photoshop. I use it ocassionally and I like it. Too bad I don´t have time to design anything, it´s a lovely idea

I have been using PS for years and years and there´s nothing better imo. PSP is also a cheap alternative but the gap is still huge between those programs.

I had to look up the word "gimp" I don´t remember it from Pulp Fiction (but it´s understandable as I´ve never seen it without Polish dubbing )

We have received four designs so far, waiting for more!

I want to design something as well, but I have never done so far. But since we still have time, I may learn and do it. Could you tell me at least which program to use?

 I had a look at the GIMP program but it will take me at least a month to figure out how to use it.....may have to resort to pen and paper Blue Peter style 

That´s what I just did. It will take some time to figure it out. There´s something in my mind to design, but I think designs on paper are not accepted

If it´s a good picture, it is acceptable, yes! Otherwise I don´t know how to get around the computer knowledge thing.. there might be some online resources on how to create something, but other then that maybe other people could give a hint on how to design something..

I found a free drawing program much more easier to grasp than GIMP for the beginners: Serif DrawPlus

 Where did you find the free version? I googled them and found Serif Draw Plus selling for $99.

Oh I love that!  I couldn´t see anything earlier and thought you were making some sort of existentialist statement with a blank page! 

In fact, weeks ago I designed something, but then later didn´t combine two images together, but I can send it this weekend. A turkish class mascot, a worm, very cute, isn´t it ?

 I think the Turkish Class logo could be a watermelon (as it is my favourite eating past time when I am in Turkey.  Well either watermelon or:

Super Pumpkinhead!!!!  Going boldly where no Turk has gone before!!!
