anlamazlık

Exactly.
-maz = -ma + -z (negative voice suffix + aorist suffix)

Unfortunately many natives make that mistake and think that "anlamamazlık" is OK.

' Bana bakmamazlıktan geldi '

'Beni görmezlikten geldi.' And also you can't negate a verb twice; 'görmemezlik' is wrong. Many native speakers do the same mistake, too.

I've learnt such a lot from this site - but one of the main problems is how correct is the Turkish I am learning? Sometimes I have been given so many versions of the same sentence I don't know who to believe! I think it is probably the same for people trying to improve their English as there is a lot of 'bad' English grammar used in the forums and in the chat room. Ultimately though, my aim is to be understood when I go to Turkey and as long as I can be I will be happy! Thanks to everyone who is helping me to learn.
