Breaking up at Christmas

Quoting teaschip: Things happen for a purpose, I believe God has a plan for everyone. |
Not to interfere too much or sway off topic, but according to the modern understanding of God, he does NOT control us or have any plans for us, other then letting us live the way we choose to. The only thing that might have happened for a purpose would be letting us come to existence as part of a bigger plan, but our mortality is governed by physical laws, with the only purpose being what WE set these laws to.
Sorry Derya about your break-up. This must be a great disappointment for you, as I remember you saying that he was your love and your best friend and he was saying that you were his babe.

Sorry catwoman I don't agree with this at all. I do believe there is a plan and I also believe in faith. Let me raise these questions to you then. "Do you believe people are born with God gifted talents? For instance, Einstein, Michael Angelo,Beethoven,Famous athletes etc..? Do you not think that God had a purpose for these people with extradornary talents and abilities or was this luck for them? What about when a child or baby dies, when there is no scientific reason or logic. Is this not in God's plan or just bad luck?

Quoting catwoman: But, don't answer me these questions with "faith" or "because someone/something said so", that's an insult to my mind and there's no point talking.

Catwoman, I have no firm religious belief so have no views on this. However, I do think its unfair when you post something which is very controversial to some people and do not allow them to reply in the same forum, only by PM.

Why Aenigma? Do you consider this a fight and want to see who gave the last punch? This place is not appropriate for such discussions to begin with, I made a mistake initiating it.

No I don't consider it a fight at all, but if you question someone's faith I think they should be allowed to reply. Dont worry I won't post on this further.

İ guess fair enough to give her the chance to state her opinion too.
İts not fight, its a debate, and got nothing to do with the differences between religions so we can consider it talking about religions, its about the idea of being.
So i guess its fair to give her the chance to reply too.
