I always get members of animation teams asking me if there really are websites about them. Apprently these are very popular in Germany, where girls from holidays come home and write about animation teams and say their love stories or say to girls, keep away from animation because they are only after sex etc!

It makes me laugh and I would love to see these websites..

Is anyone else aware of this?

No no, entertainment teams, the ones who look after people in hotels, do shows and sports etc.

I could not give you any website, but in a Dutch book I read about websites that give 'black lists' of Turkish entertainment team workers that you'd rather not get involved with (the 'usual' and wellknown visa, money and sex trouble).

Yes there are loads of them! MSN groups - go and have a look, type in Turkey or Turkish and you will find them.

For instance Turkish Love Rats, is a particularly nasty one. Name and shame is not the word for it, pictures as well............

I did.. Some serious holiday-resort-workers-bashing going on there!! Giving full detailed descriptions, calling people by their names and say that they are liars
Never seen anything like it before, and I can't say I like it...

Me neither :-S Sometimes the bashing is so harsh that I can't help but feel sorry for these men. And after all, I can't help but think that most of these women must be either very naive or shallow to believe in such a love in the first place Or is this very short-sighted of me?

Ohh well Im off to clean my 'old' bedroom before I deserve to spend my time here.

Well I have also seen girls who go to turkish tourist cities to meet these guys. If they think these guys will not see any other girls, fall in love and want to genuinely marry them after spending a holiday in Turkey, then it's their own fault. How naive can someone be?

So what you are saying is, you cannot have a relationship with a Turkish guy that you met in a tourist resort?

I met someone from a tourist resort in Turkey. We had fun, i went home, now am still in contact with him not knowing what to expect. I like to enjoy things while they last. We might make it we might not. I don't call myself naive. Am not giving him money, or a visa. Am just enjoying the experience.

No of course it's possible to establish a genuine relationship (I have seen this as well), but often if you're looking to play, you're going to find a player.
But it's not a good idea to come to a turist resort and think that you can find something real in just a week or two. I think it's like a curse that a large part of the men working there (not all) learn this unnatural behaviour towards women and treat them thereafter.

In my own relationship we sort of met like that. That is, we weren't together, just had a really good connection - and I certaintly wasn't looking to meet anyone. We didn't talk much after I went to my home country again until I decided to go to Istanbul to see if it would lead anywhere, and it did. I think that I was lucky to have met him when we were both really young (minors) - before he had a chance to be influenced by the behaviour pattern described in these msn groups lol No that's not really true, but still. It's not almost three years ago we met and everything is great and we have great plans for our future.

Sure, actual relationships can be formed but the odds are small. What I'm complaining is about the countless women coming to (in my case) Alanya each year thinking they'll find a handsome dark man who will treat them as a princess, gets surprised when she finds out that she's not the only woman in his life and comes next year in search for something better.

I would never, ever encourage someone to meet a partner like this. Even if you succeed, it's going to be a struggle. It's almost like setting yourself up to failure. In my case, it has worked out (though many battles are to come) and I think he's the best thing that has ever happened to me, but I would never do it again. It's just too painful.

It would be very funny to find someone I know in person so see stories.

I am only a young girl and enjoying life, but as I grow up, I am learning many things and I feel I use to be naive but now, I know what to expect. Just have fun whilst you can, thats what I say! (I am not on about turkish holidays with entertainers, I am on about life in general)

"First I met [insert any name] he was really hot and they we got married and I helped him get a visa and then two months after I met him he turned out to be a real jerk so now I sent him back to Turkey and I have been trying to get a divorce. So now I'm free and I'm going to Turkey in just one week! I can't wait to meet new hot guys! While I was married to [insert name] I met [name #2] and I liked him so I think we'll try to hook up but I can't decide, there's so many guys to chose from!" lol lol

If these girls are getting pregnant as a result of a hoilday romance There is more than one way NOT to get preganant, so feeling sorry? I dont!! I feel sorry for the child, who has the irresponsbile parent. There is a saying - leave your brain at the airport and collect on the way home.

It is rather ironic that this generation have never had such a wide variety of contraception, made so easy (now they don't even have to take pills everyday) and yet there have never been so many teenage pregnancies as now.

This attitude that someone will love you more if you have a baby is, frankly, ignorant. It's great that there is no stigma anymore towards teen-pregnancies, but I fear for the next "unwanted" generation

Besides your point I find it also very difficult to understand that in these modern days there are so many young girls who believe in fairy tales about not getting pregnant as if they never had any biology on school! And believe me, the most wild stories you'll hear when you ask! (Ever used coca cola 'after' to clean yourself? How can someone be? How ignorant?)

1. I think some are much more creative than that.
2. Does it mean there is no need to blame those men?

Good point Qdemir And also, if we are to demand equal rights as women, why do we still insult those girls who enjoy "casual" sex and yet dont insult the men for this?

Personally I think casual sex is a horrible concept, but each to their own - whether MALE or FEMALE

men and women are both w@ores in the 'casual' sex department aenigma but we can't blame the ones that are less mentally able

I think the blood which is supposed to flow up their brains flow down somewhere between their legs.

Those guys must be very talented to be able to dupe more than a woman at a time, or those women must be very stupid.

iiiiiiiii. One to their own thats what I always say. There are very extreme stories out there. I meant twins on holiday, and both married with turkish men. One has had a successful 4 year relationship so far, and the other was left standing with a child after he only wanted visa. Who to believe?
