beware of 'logic' (aka delusion) lesson no#2 from All Too Human (an overdose?)!

first of all, if girls require time AND money, then the first equation, (supposedly) would be:

1 girl = x*time + x*money

since time=money, then 1 girl = 2x*time = 2x*money

meaning - a girl is two times more important and valuable then money and time spent with her is twice more valuable then if it was spent on anything else!

Hahahaha! Woow!... impressing! What a parse/analyze!

May I ask just one question by your leave, please? How could you take "or" as "two times more..."? Hmmm! I will look up my dictionaries to find all possible meanings of "or", but for now, I will claim you falied! Sorry!

"1 girl=2*time or 2*money" can in no way mean "a girl is two times more important and valuable then money".

Aren't I right?

Well... if girls are to be backed, it is again us men who will do this as well:

Girls require more than time and money; hence:

a girl > time + money

If time is money, then a girl > money + money and thus:

a girl > 2x money

which may mean "a girl is two times more important and valuable than money."

you made a few important mistakes, but whatever, good for you , although don't flatter yourself too much for being a women-lover or supporter.
more importantly, a statement like "women REQUIRE time and money" is not the same as "women ARE time and money", although after you showed me how simplistic men are, I shouldn't hold you responsible for this mistake.
and lastly, I'm very sad to see that you think of women (aka human beings) as objects that you can get if you have enough money.

On reading the initial so called "syllogism", a quote from Albert Einstein came to my mind:

"There are only two infinite things: the universe and the human foolishness, but I am not pretty sure regarding the first. Regarding the second, one can easily notice how we destroy ourselves only to prove who can do more".....

I am 99% sure that if I posted a joke about male Turkish resort workers wanting wives just for money and a visa there would be outcries from the men here

If you post such a post about Turkish resort workers ..., it will neither be a joke nor an opinion, but a fact.
Let me make a minute correction: some don't want wives, but...(site rules don't let me continue), and may be, we should exclude permanent resort workers. However I think those men aren't the ones who are to blame only. You can't blame a wolf for hunting a stupid sheep. Just have a look at the translation forum and the posts that some girls are asking for advice (eg, should I send him the money he has asked for?)She is so stupid that she can't even decide what to do by herself. In fact the word, stupidity doesn't suffice to define her and alike.

I do sometimes wonder if it is sensible for Translation request posts to appear in the 'latest posts' summary on the right, but not the Off-Topic posts - and for Translation forum to appear in the quick links on the left but for the Practice Turkish forum we have to go via 'All forum topics'

Qdemir, needless to say I was very disappointed to hear you say something this shallow and chauvinistic. I regarded you as a more mature man while his statement shows your ignorance about the topic as well as jungle morality.
Also, taking immature jokes or statements that carry discriminatory or sexist messages seriously is a sign of the person's maturity and high level of consciousness, not lack of self-confidence or being too serious (you might want to ponder that one a little).

O-o-o-o! You must avoid using sexist language, catwoman. Or else, the very this might one day turn into a weapon aiming at your feminine struggle. Other than that I totally agree with you. all I can say is that you're a pervert. and you know, that's why some movies are rated - so that people who might take things out of context shouldn't see them. sometimes strong words actually describe reality, you know?.. but I'm afraid that some of my audience has not seen this before (especially the Turkish one - probably because of the 'women shouldn't express negative feelings/be angry/not nice' stupid stereotype, I don't know lol ).
sexist is you my friend, which you subtly reveal in almost everything you say. ...and my life is not a 'feminine struggle', it's just being human, anything but a struggle.

O-o-o-o! You must avoid using sexist language, catwoman. Or else, the very this might one day turn into a weapon aiming at your feminine struggle. Other than that I totally agree with you. We men are really the evolutionary link. That's why we found women perfect and why we couldn't be without them. I like womankind!

all I can say is that you're a pervert. and you know, that's why some movies are rated - so that people who might take things out of context shouldn't see them. sometimes strong words actually describe reality, you know?.. but I'm afraid that some of my audience has not seen this before (especially the Turkish one - probably because of the 'women shouldn't express negative feelings/be angry/not nice' stupid stereotype, I don't know lol ).
sexist is you my friend, which you subtly reveal in almost everything you say. ...and my life is not a 'feminine struggle', it's just being human, anything but a struggle.

Hahaha! I wonder how you could manage to draw such a ridiculous conclusion that I am a pervert. I was sincere in my reply to you, but it is pity that you were unable to see this. Still it is pity that you haven't been aware of even your today posts is full of sexist context. Your life "is just being human", eh? Come now! Let alone your other posts, only this quote you reported shows that you are a feminist, do hate and despise men with your whole heart, with your cells, with your nerves.

"Men are the evolutionary link between women and monkeys".

(No?)

Whereas I found woman the only perfect creature in the universe.

why should i reply to this if you won't get it anyways (or will completely misunderstand me). just for the sake of the record, i don't hate anybody, but rather certain behavior. i am definitely a feminist, because i'm devoted to not accepting social inequalities - and not just the ones between men and women. there's a social misconception about what feminism means, people like you (appears to me) think that it's about hating men, but it couldn't be more wrong. what i said about men being evolutionary link was a parody of the ridiculous thing that you said about women, i was trying to show that such a ridiculous claim would only make sense if men were biologically unequal to women. in reality some men like to propagate simplistic ideas to justify their not taking responsibility for their behavior and all the things that they are wrong about! they'd love to be unquestioned and dominant bullies. your superficially - women loving sounding ideas are also a version of trying to make women look like different species, not equal to men and a way of trying to defend your (and/or other men's) irresponsible, immature behavior in the realm of gender issues.

This is your best post I have read so far. Only one thing I must say about it: Though I get your point and found you right in general, I have no intention, believe or not, other than to just exalt "woman" when thinking and saying she is the only perfect creature. You can take this as my "subjective" approach to woman, on which I would never complain.

the problem is that most people don't pay attention to the implicit, introvert, manipulative ways in which horrible messages permeate our culture and life - media, jokes, social roles. most people don't even think about them, don't question what they see and do, as long as it doesn't physically/financially harm them. no, I don't have the same sense of humor as most people do (especially the already admired sense of humor of Mr Alltoohuman). I don't laugh at shallow jokes and I pay attention to details, something most people find too difficult, mostly out of fear of being different (for example look how some Turkish people react when other Turkish people criticize their own country, no wonder that thoughtless behavior is perpetuated). it is pathetic when people who consider themselves smart and critical also participate in the thoughtless social cycles (sometimes they are better at rationalizing).
lastly, in my view, calling Alltoohuman a pervert was equally insulting (at least to me!) as him calling women some weird perfect creatures (cunning to offend somebody with nice words). I was guessing his reasons for 'loving' women so much. nevertheless, I apologize for using this word...
take care everybody, hopefully next time we'll understand each other better. if you think what I'm saying is not that great, just use your sense of humor and take it easy .

I can't imagine your boyfriend wanting to tell you good words!

- Darling, all the universe moves just for you, for the sake of you.
- Shut up! I said shut up!
- Ok.Ok. I already did.

Well... You seem to be too realistic, to try to regard things from angle of reality all the time. (which in most cases is an approach to be taken the hats off). I wouldn't be! In fact I wouldn't even care being realistic all the time. Sometimes wishing, demanding or saying what is not real, is and can be much more effective, useful and can serve to your purpose. In this respect, allow me remind you,for example, you don't believe there is equality between men and women today. (I don't either.) The equality is not reality, but it is what you always wish, many times point out, usually indicate, sometimes discuss. I can't limit myself leaving myself in the field of reality. I, too, am quite aware that woman is not the only perfect creature at all. lol But I just want to regard her so. I don't care whether she is actually the only perfect creature or not. I don't care reality itself when it comes to woman. I do want to exalt her. It is she, I do believe, that deserves this.

This time I expect you to tell this is my best post.

In that case my feelings must be real. And if one of my feelings is that woman is the only perfect creature, then you must believe this and accept it is my real feeling. Thus you mustn't find it shallow, something to defend other men's faults, etc.

Quoting catwoman:

but it's the assumptions that you accept - that are based on delusion and shortcuts

How can you label another's feelings as the accepted assumptions this way? Suppose a poet writes a line exalting her lover, you read it and doubt the poet's feelings. It is like you say he writes a so-called line in order to conceal other men's thoughts about women.

Interesting!

Whether everything or any thing, to laugh things is the sign of healthy brain, not brain disease!

Which makes me wonder - how many 'blonde' or 'wife' jokes have you heard, told or laughed at in your life? How come weren't you equally against them as you are against parodying actual, real behavior of a certain kind of men???

Not to worry dude, I am fast approaching my sell by date anyway and if I am thrown out I will probably gain some street cred in the eyes of my granddaughter. As this is probably my last post in TC I would like to thank all the members (even Fener fans )for the fun I have had over the last 16 months.Kendine iyi bakınız

Please be advised and reminded that it was I myself who had my former account deleted. If they themselves delete my account for some reason, I would, unlike you, never come back as this or that, as one with x never!

Dear everybody,
I apologize to those who feel offended by my posts. I don't understand why it would be the case, but I realize that I'm blatantly making fun of certain things, sometimes in aggressive ways, and that - understandably - might be uncomfortable to people on this web site. I suppose I was assuming that these things aren't personal, I hope you will understand. Thank you .

I think the problem with forums is that it is often so hard to realise when something is "said with a smile". Also, maybe people take your posts more seriously than others. I am sure I have been equally insulting in previous posts, but nobody EVER takes me seriously (which is probably an even worse situation to be in!! )

catwoman, may be people on here aren't used to seeing you making fun of anything, but have seen you arguing in an amazonian way all the time, whenever you came onto the stage from behind the one-way mirror where you prefer staying. I am not entitled to speak out on behalf of the others, however personally I would like to see a catwoman the way she looks in real.(A few weeks ago I happened to see you and were very suprised.) You are a totally different person from the way you look in real.
