If you post such a post about Turkish resort workers ..., it will neither be a joke nor an opinion, but a fact.
Let me make a minute correction: some don't want wives, but...(site rules don't let me continue), and may be, we should exclude permanent resort workers. However I think those men aren't the ones who are to blame only. You can't blame a wolf for hunting a stupid sheep. Just have a look at the translation forum and the posts that some girls are asking for advice (eg, should I send him the money he has asked for?)She is so stupid that she can't even decide what to do by herself. In fact the word,stupidity doesn't suffice to define her and alike.

I hardly think my post was "taking things too seriously"!!! However, Qdemir was obviously upset that not ALL people found his joke as amusing as he would like and decided to call them (me) insecure...
I think Qdemir is the one who takes himself too seriously

Why do some take such things seriously -and be a staunch defender? Could it be due to lack of self-confidence? |
I find these things so tedious, as it is an everyday occurance to get these types of emails at work. It is boring zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I do sometimes wonder if it is sensible for Translation request posts to appear in the 'latest posts' summary on the right, but not the Off-Topic posts - and for Translation forum to appear in the quick links on the left but for the Practice Turkish forum we have to go via 'All forum topics'

Qdemir, needless to say I was very disappointed to hear you say something this shallow and chauvinistic. I regarded you as a more mature man while his statement shows your ignorance about the topic as well as jungle morality.
Also, taking immature jokes or statements that carry discriminatory or sexist messages seriously is a sign of the person's maturity and high level of consciousness, not lack of self-confidence or being too serious (you might want to ponder that one a little).
