Quoting catwoman:
it is called conscious living, what a weird thing to live out of reality, though I understand that it's much easier that way to achieve some of your goals. you are fake by saying/doing things you know are not true, maybe that's why I think that your jokes/compliments are shallow. |
Wouldn't you find it oppressively boring to live in reality all the time? Have you ever thought why, for example, poems, especially those exalting woman, were and are written?

looks like you want to learn a thing or two. poetry is valid when it expresses your true feelings. no, real life is not boring, it's amazing in fact.

Then convince me by proving "your true feelings" are necessarily a part of reality, or reality itself, or express reality itself or belong to reality.

Catwoman and AllTooHuman- are you two still going at it? How many days does this make? Ok, it appears that both of you are 'I must have the last word' people.

No, really no! And I don't think catwoman has such intention either.

i am not attempting to convince you of anything. it's not your feelings that aren't real but it's the assumptions that you accept - that are based on delusion and shortcuts.

In that case my feelings must be real. And if one of my feelings is that woman is the only perfect creature, then you must believe this and accept it is my real feeling. Thus you mustn't find it shallow, something to defend other men's faults, etc.

How can you label another's feelings as the accepted assumptions this way? Suppose a poet writes a line exalting her lover, you read it and doubt the poet's feelings. It is like you say he writes a so-called line in order to conceal other men's thoughts about women.
Interesting!

Quoting qdemir: catwoman, do you think, today women are trying to be equal to men rather than trying to get equal rights, equal employment opportunities etc? |
qdemir, what is it that you're asking? I don't get it, what's your point?? :-S

what the heck are you talking about now? that because someone's feelings are real, then the reasons behind them cannot be questioned or shouldn't be reasonable and make sense? well, that would be a definition of a mental disorder. anyways, if you have a serious question you can ask me in private, as Capoiera implied, it's enough of this wrestling.
