Just a poem I wrote. Any comments welcome hope you like it:

Finding the one I love

Through wondering eyes
throughout my life,
searching high and low
trying to find the one I love.

Through all of my heart beats,
that my heart has pumped,
I try to match the beat.
The beat of the persons heart I love.

Throughout all the hands I touched,
I hadn’t found none quite like those,
those belonging to him.
To the person I love.

Through all the voices I heard,
I heard none quite like his,
the softness of it, none matched to his.
To the person I love.

Through all the eyes I have seen,
seen smile, laugh and even cry.
None made me want to dive into them, unlike his.
The person I love.

Then I found you…

I found the heartbeat that matched mine.
I found those hands I’d been longing to touch.
I found the voice that makes me shiver at its softness.
I found the eyes I’d been dying to dive into.
I found the person I love.

I found you.

Oh thank you babey I'm glad you like it. As for writing another, I write when I feel I can, when the thoughts of what I want to write come into my head, as does most poets

You are a poet too? I really have to admit I am in awe of your self-confidence Kai (said without sarcasm). Perhaps modesty is a thing of the past in today's culture

How can I say this .... umm .... I love to drive fast, but this does not make me Schumacher.

You don't need a degree to call yourself a poet, the same with an artist....yes you can get a degree in both of them but it doesn't me your any less of one if you don't.
As a famous poet once said (not sure which one, i'll try to find it on net, unless anyone else know who it was? :-S ) "knowledge is required to speak from the head, but poets do not speak from the head, they speak from the heart, therefore no knowledge is required, anyone can do it"

I don't know about you but I agree

P.S. what do you mean by "too?" I'm hardly anything else.

I agree that writing poems is a wonderful way to express your feelings (especially when you are very young and in love) and we all guilty of it, especially during our "first love". But does that make us all poets? Only in our own eyes I think

Anyway, I was too harsh and amended my earlier post (my bad mood is to blame). I am sorry you quoted me BEFORE I amended it Kai

I've been writing poetry for years not just recently because I'm "in love"! I used to just mess around writing what came into my head, but then I wrote my first serious piece when I was 11, which unfortunatly I lost.
Well I know how to get hold of it but getting hold of it is the hard part and the worst thing is that it is really dear to me

Well, along with a previous classmate, I am confused. I remember a few posts months ago where you commented that your friends had complimented your singing and that you had been asked to sing at your school.

I also remember you saying you were "fluent in many languages" - is this not the same thing as multilinguistic?

You have also told us that you will definitely become a doctor.

Apologies for taking your posts so seriously! And now, its a good time to go to bed

Iyi geceler!

definitly being a Dr is what I keep telling myself because my family are not so supportive if you get my meaning, not even my mom

Rhyme & Punishment

I like to write an ode or rhyme
It’s a fun way to pass the time
After many years of composition
I am here is this strange position
The hardest part of the whole process
And the least enjoyable I must confess
Unless of course you pay a mint
Is to get the bloody stuff into print

Thought this was appropriate!!

If it was that important that you remember writing it after all these years - then surely you must remember what it was about and could therefore have a go at re-writing it.

You just made my point clear, I never said I was fluent, I just said good, there is a difference. I also said I wasn't fluent in any langauge (except English of course) and that I would like to learn one language fluently, hence I am studying Spanish.
Also, friends said they would help me if I got stuck.

It was nearly 6 years ago I wrote it and I remember what it was about clearly but it is that one I very wanted what meant a lot and where it had been read is what makes it that one I want. Not to re-write it again.
