What is your favourite misheard lyric???

Irene Cara :: Flashdance has just come on the radio - I always used to think the lyric for this was "take your pants down and make it happen"
Of course they really are "take your passion and make it happen"

Mine is 'Cuba' by the Gibson Brothers.

The lyrics are:-
"Cuba
quiero bailar la salsa"

But I always sing:-
"Cuba, get off your arse and salsa"

There are several - but the one that comes to mind is
'Hotel' - Cassidy featuring R.Kelly..
'..and we'll have an after party..' I heard it as '..and we'll have an ASDA party'... thought it was a little odd

Mine is actually one my grandmother misheard…..the song “Venus” was on the radio when I was younger and my sisters and I were singing along....Gram came in the room and heard the song and snapped the radio off muttering something about the vulgar music. We just looked at each other thinking there were some hidden lyrics that we weren’t catching.
Later she told our mom that we were listening to a song about a penis!
Ohhhh she was adorable…..I miss her!!!!

And I was reminded on the radio today that The Police sang about the newsreader Sue Lawley in their song - "So Lonely".....

Well its not exactly miss-heard, but ever since somebody told me that "Golden Brown" by the Stranglers sounds like "Gordon Brown" its all I can hear now....

I used to think that in the song, "You Spin me Right Round" by Dead or Alive (yes I am THAT OLD) they were saying "You give me white rum"...hehehe

Bod, when I read what you thought the lyrics to Flashdance were, I couldn't believe it. That is exactly what my best friend thought it was and she used to sing it loud and proud!!

Except I wasn't quite old enough to "want" to hear that when the song first came out - I might be old but I am not yet ancient!!!
