Thank you Metehan and others for your great thoughts! I am always amazed how many wonderful people there are on this web site. We sometimes talk about trivia, but when it comes to serious issues, there's always many brilliant ideas from everybody.
Yes, there are problems here as well, and we always try to do our best to solve them - maybe we can't always be completely successful, but we value all suggestions and input, and we did change a lot.
I'd like to say that I prefer it when someone says "goodbye" before leaving instead of just disappearing, and we always respect people's desires to take some time off. We don't however like the attitude "delete me, there's too much hatred on this site, I will show you that you guys need to improve if you want me here". Sorry, it's us who create this site and this community and if you really care, or something bothers you, you can make a difference with you own stand against things you don't like (intolerance, nationalism, sexism... etc.) instead of telling us that we have to make the web site in such a way that won't let 'bad' people in.
It was great to have you here Vineyards, you had great ideas and I'm sorry that you so quickly decided that we are not good enough for you... and all of it for the sake of the spotlight (quoting your own post). Where is that mirror you were talking about again?

Quasimodo, you have already asked me remember? and I think my answer was something such as "J'accepte votre demande en mariage"
Or has that bread got to you?

I know this place is an addiction for some...me included....but if you feel THAT strongly that you want your account deleted, why return? If you are trying to make a statement by posting you are leaving, then make the statement!
It is just beyond me what could possilby be so bad about this site that anyone would need to be deleted? I agree there have been some heated debates going on here but as others have stated, there are many more posts that are good and respectful.
It's really pretty simple, if there are posts that you disagree with you can either ignore them or give your input but taking it so personally that you want to be deleted, I don't get.
