Quoting ramayan:

i felt myself bad here......aslan....sophie....and everybody....someone must support me....are we men dragons????

...I think that there are two different discussions going on...one is trying to make perhaps unexperienced and innocent women aware that they have to be careful when they fall in love with someone they have met for a few days.

My opinion is that sometimes the difference in cultures make us see things differently and if there is also a difficulty in understanding due to not speaking fluently the same language, then the risk of broken hearts is obvious...and actually go both ways. I met a man in Alanya that told me how he had suffered when he was younger...he had believed that it was for real and it showed that the women had only had some fun with him on their vacation and did not want any further relationship...anyway...there are few men here at tc asking for translations, we see more women...

The second discussion is whether it is generalised...to turkish men...all men...some men everywhere...to be cheaters ...who play with other persons feelings?

My personal opinion is that this goes both ways too. There are women that also play with mens heart. But I know that we european women are hopelessly romantic, fed with american happy endings, which is really nice in a way...but this way also make us suffer...we make ourselves suffer...hmmmm...I know I made a posting on this before...

Anyway...I guess my answer to your question, ramayan, is that not all men are dragons...but heyyy...be a man...defend yourself!!!

Hey ramayan - i'm sure you are not one of the nasty ones - and it is true some women are just as mean, in some cases more so, as some men - it is not confined to any particular sex or race.

The purpose of starting this thread was not to insult Turkish men, nor to put down love. I personally am married to a Turkish man and I love Turkey and I am a big believer of love. So this thread is not about culture differences, nor am I just saying it is just Turkish men who are giulty of this, but as this is the Turkish class full of girls being romances by Turkish men, i focus it to them. Nor am I saying , Rayaman, that all Turkish men are the same. But I am saying that there are an awful lot of Turkish men who are using girls to get a visa and to be careful. So you Rayaman do not need defending because I was not talking about you.
